摘要: A valve (30) for a production liner (12) in connection with the extraction of oil and gas, arranged to automatically shut of the flow of fluid into the production liner (12) in the event of a gas break-through, whereby the valve (30) comprises a valve seating (32) containing at least one central inflow channel (34) and one or more outflow channels (36, 38) from the valve (30). The valve (30) is constructed with a curved design equal to the shape of the outer diameter of the production liner (12), and is placed on the outside of the production liner (12), and in that a rectangular shut off disk (40) with the same curving is arranged in the valve (30), in the flowing path of the liquid flow, to cause a high velocity flow over the shut off disk's surface (40a) against the valve seat (32), wherein the shut off disk (40) is adapted to seal against said valve seat (32) dependant on the differential pressure being produced by the viscosity of the passing flow. The invention also comprises a production liner containing a valve.

Yet another variable flow resistance system can include a flow chamber, with a majority of the fluid composition entering the chamber in a direction which changes based on a ratio of desired fluid to undesired fluid in the fluid composition.

The discs are joined together by diffusion welding. Each annular disc comprises a material selected from the group consisting of (i) ceramic materials; (ii) mixed materials having fractions of ceramic or metallic hard materials and a metallic binding phase; and (iii) powder metallurgical materials with hard material phases formed in-situ.

摘要: A well screen system for use in a wellbore has an elongate base pipe and a screen encircling the base pipe. The screen is configured to filter against passage of particulate into a center bore of the base pipe. The base pipe has a fluid impermeable portion exterior to the screen. A cover sleeve resides over the fluid impermeable portion of the base pipe. A drain tube with a fluid permeable sidewall resides exterior to the base pipe and screen, affixed to the cover sleeve. The drain tube is adapted to communicate fluid from the wellbore around the fluid impermeable portion to the screen.

摘要: A wire cross-sectional shape for a wire wrap screen provides a primary and secondary gap with a contained circumferential volume in between. The secondary gap extends screen life by taking the place of the primary gap if erosion opens the primary gap and lets the larger solids get past. The closed space between the primary and secondary gaps also has the effect of reducing velocity due to the enlarged volume before the secondary gap is reached while also creating turbulence between the gaps to slow the fluid velocity to protect the secondary gap. All or parts of the wire outer surface can optionally be coated to extend service life.
