    摘要: A tubular member is manufactured by continuously supplying a plurality of elongate flexible webs (U,X,Y,Z) while transversely disaligning side edges of the webs, such that the webs are arranged in echelon, progressively wrapping the webs around a mandrel (M), bonding the webs with adhesive layers interposed therebetween to form a tubular member, and joining the displaced side edges to complete the tubular member. The webs are supplied in mutually spaced-apart relation under longitudinal tension. A plurality of resilient support plate members (3) are disposed respectively for the webs and arranged to lie along the lower surfaces of the webs transversely thereof. Opposite ends (19,20) of the support plate members are supported for movement vertically and toward and away from each other. The opposite ends of the support plate members are movable towards each other to curve the support members along an outer peripheral surface of the mandrel (M). A positioning device has a pair of guide members (4,5) mounted on an inner surface of each of the support plate members for engaging opposite side edges of one of the webs.

The can end holder means (4) and the can feed means (2) are rotated to roll the can end (Y) and the can (X) along the seaming means (5, 6) to seam the can end (Y) to the can (X) while the end hook of the can end (Y) and the flange of the can (X) are being pressed by the seaming means (5, 6).

    摘要: A closure arrangement adaptable for an easy open type container including a score line wherein a crossing position of the score line portion lying on the longitudinal axis of a pulling tab passing through the center of a rivet is a minimum distant point from the center of the rivet. The score line portion extends from the minimum distant point right and left and projects outwardly in the region between a first subsidiary line crossing at right angles to the longitudinal axis at the minimum distant point and a third subsidiary line passing through the center of the rivet and extending in parallel with the first subsidiary line, so as to form a pair of swelling score line sections on both sides of the rivet. In this manner, the initial opening force can be decreased, and an easy opening closure can be made even if the score residual is made thicker than that in a conventional closure.

    摘要: There is disclosed a double-walled self-erecting container which comprises an outer casing (1) of rectangular cross-section having first and second pairs of opposed side wall panels (3,5 and 4,6), and respective end flaps (9, 13 ; 11, 15 and 10, 14 ; 12, 16) hinged to the side wall panels for inward folding to form closed ends of the container, and an inner liner (2) of flexible material contained within and adhering to portions of the inner surface of the outer casing (1). The outer casing (1) is formed from a blank of foldable container-forming material, and the first pair of opposed side wall panels (3,5) and the attached end flaps (9,13 and 11, 15) have opposed longitudinally extending fold lines (18, 19) which enable the outer casing to be erected from a flat position in which the second pair of opposed side wall panels (4, 6) and the folded portions of the first pair of side wall panels (3, 5) are located in substantially the same plane to an erected container-forming position of rectangular cross-section. The inner liner (2) is of bag-like form which, in the folded flat position of the container, comprises a pair of opposed side walls (A), longitudinal side edges (20, 21), a closed bottom edge (22) and an open top edge (17). The inner liner (2) is adhered to the inner surface of the outer casing along lines of adhesion (C) in such a way that the longitudinal side edges (20, 21) of the liner extend alongside the fold lines (18, 19) in the first pair of side wall [ panels (3, 5) and the attached end flaps (9, 13 and 11, 15). Further, to facilitate the closing of the bottom end of the container when in the erected position, corner portions (B) of the side walls (A) of the liner (2) adjacent to the junction between the closed bottom edge (22) and each side edge (20, 21) are adhered to triangular portions (B') of the end flaps (13, 15) of the first pair of side wall panels (3, 5) which are adjacent to the closed bottom edge (22) of the liner (2), the apex of each triangular portion (B') being located at the end of a respective one of the fold lines (18, 19).
