摘要: A replaceable, flexible and resilient grip (40) is slidably fitted over a generally cylindrical handle portion (30) of a power hand tool housing (10). In one embodiment, for use with a pistol grip housing with a separable end cap (20), the grip (40) has a flange (50) which is clamped between the end cap (20) and the barrel (11) of the housing (10) and has lugs (53) which fit in recesses (17, 24) in the barrel (11) and end cap (20). The grip (40) also has a strap portion (48) which fits between the trigger and the barrel (11) and a flange (49) which fits in a groove (39) adjacent to the barrel (11). In another embodiment, the tool has an air exhaust port adjacent to the handle portion and the grip defines an exhaust air passage alongside the handle portion, the grip being held in place by a retaining plate.

摘要: A ratchet wrench (10) includes a ratchet head (12) having a part-cylindrical surface (18) with head teeth (20) thereon and an elongated handle (14) hingedly coupled to the head (12). The handle (14) has an axial first bore (32). A rod (46) is disposed in and movable within the first bore (32) between an engaged condition for locking the head (12) in a selected position and non-engaged condition for relative movement between the head (12) and the handle (14). A biasing structure (56) biasses the rod (46) to the engaged condition. A retaining structure (58) is coupled to the rod (46) for retaining the rod in its non-engaged condition.
