摘要: L'ensemble d'étanchéité pour suspension de tubes de production de l'invention comprend un joint d'étanchéité métal sur métal commandé par un manchon d'entraînement. Le manchon d'entraînement est fileté à l'extérieur de la suspension de tubes de production et à mesure qu'il est mis en rotation vers le bas, il vient au contact d'un anneau de charge, lequel à son tour commande le joint d'étanchéité métal sur métal en le comprimant entre un épaulement situé à l'extérieur de la suspension de tubes de production et à l'intérieur de la tête de colonne de production. De plus, l'invention concerne un anneau fendu que l'on force à passer à l'intérieur d'une gorge située à l'intérieur de la tête de la colonne de production afin d'empêcher que le joint d'étanchéité ne soit expulsé sous l'effet de la pression montante.

摘要: A spark plug comprises a central electrode (101), an insulator (106) surrounding the central electrode, an outer shell (110) surrounding a portion of the insulator and a ground electrode (116) arranged to form a spark gap (117) with the protruding end (104) of the electrode (101). The shell is constructed so that the internal diameter of its end (110a) facing spark gap is larger than the external diameter of the insulator (106) at its widest point so that the insulator can be inserted into the shell (110) from the spark gap end. The insulator (106) and the central electrode (101) are designed so that the central electrode (101) can be inserted into the insulator (106) from the end of the insulator (106) which when in use, is nearest to the spark gap end of the shell (110). The assembly of the spark plug is a reversed assembly when compared to the assembly of conventional spark plugs.

摘要: A faulted circuit detector (12,22) has an electrically isolated and remotely positioned indicator (14) which indicates fault currents in a monitored conductor (18). When a fault of a predetermined magnitude is detected, a light pulse is transmitted from the detector (12,22) to the indicator via a fibre optic cable (16) where, upon receipt, the pulse is converted to an electrical pulse causing the indicator to indicate a "fault" state. A reset circuit (56) within the indicator resets the indicator at regular intervals to the "normal" state as long as a predetermined minimum voltage is present on the monitored conductor. A test circuit (34,48,50) is also provided to allow service personnel to field test the device with the monitored conductor in an energized state.

摘要: An improved length compensating joint suitable for use in repairing pipelines includes an inner tubular member (12), an outer tubular member (14) which receives the inner member in close fitting engagement, seals disposed radially and axially between the inner and outer members define annular piston areas for providing selective relative between the inner and outer members, a pressure responsive locking piston (40) with a camming surface (82) for urging gripping elements (58) into locking engagement with the inner member, a metal-to-metal seal (148, 154) between the inner and outer members which can be deenergized during extension or retraction operations and a test port (128) for verifying the integrity of the metal-to-metal seal after installation. Additionally, a second embodiment provides an alternative metal-to-metal seal configuration which can also be deenergized during extension and retraction operations.
