    摘要: A quick connect-disconnect coupling for a fluid conduit structure and method of making same wherein the conduit structure has cam devices 42 for connecting and disconnecting a coupler member 22 and an adapter member 31 comprising the coupling and the cam devices which cooperate during disconnection of the members to provide a disconnecting movement until a particular position is reached at which position the disconnecting movement is reversed and becomes an incremental connecting movement for a predetermined increment before allowing the members to be completely disconnected and in the event fluid under pressure is present in the conduit structure which has the coupler and adapter members connected therein the incremental connecting movement of the cam devices is subjected to resistance by the fluid under pressure with the resistance being transmitted through the cam devices as an opposing force which serves to impede the incremental movement by resisting any opening force applied to the cam devices with such opposing force being detectable and once detected serves as a warning that the pressure of the fluid under pressure must be relieved before completely disconnecting the members.

    摘要: An adjustable, compact and stable sump stabilizer bar (50) is disclosed. In one embodiment, the stabilizer bar may be made from a continuous material and the bar may be unitary in form. The stabilizer bar may include a substantially planar and continuous plate (58), and is configured to adjustably mount components, such as shear valves (60), to the stabilizer bar. Tabs (66,68) extend substantially perpendicular to, and in generally opposite directions from, the plate. The tabs are configured to adjustably secure the stabilizer bar to the mounting struts in a sump. A shear valve may be adjustably and stably mounted to a sump using the stabilizer bar in close-to-side-wall pipe entry applications without interference from stabilizer bar components or parts.

    摘要: A vapor recovery nozzle includes a spout construction comprising an outer aluminum tube and an inner nylon tube. The distal ends of the tubes are joined so that the inner tube defines a central fuel passage and, in combination with the outer tube, defines a generally annular vapor return passage. A distal end portion of the outer tube has a reduced wall thickness and its inner end is expanded to mount a locator ring thereon. The spout assembly is telescoped into an adapter that connects the fuel and vapor passages to corresponding passages in the nozzle body. A spout nut threads into the nozzle body and engages the locator ring to mount the spout on the nozzle. The outer spout tube is formed by lathe operations which include turning a fracture groove adjacent its inner end, and, thereafter bending the tube to angle the distal end portion of the tube downwardly from its inner end. A second embodiment teaches the use of structural, synthetic resins in forming the outer spout tube. In an alternate embodiment the outer spout tube is compositely formed an outer end portion that provides increased strength for the that portion, where a thin wall tube is employed.
