摘要:
A take-up control device (6) includes a control mode setting means (11) capable of setting a control mode for a take-up servo motor (5) to one of a torque control mode, under which the take-up servo motor (5) is driven so as to maintain a winding tension of the knitted fabric at a constant value, and a position control mode, under which the take-up servo motor (5) is driven at a constant angle of rotation relative to revolutions in the knitting unit (2). This take-up control device (6) is operable to initiate the take-up of the knitted fabric under the torque control mode and to shift the control mode from the torque control mode to the position control mode, after a take-up condition under the torque control mode is determined as stabilized by a stabilization determining means (15), to perform an automatic take-up of the knitted fabric.

[PROBLEMS] To provide an apparatus and a method for obtaining a spacer fabric of a simple structure that can ensure stabilized tuck knotting by reducing the burden on the needle. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The knitting method of spacer fabric comprises a step in which a cylinder needle (5) is used to knit a cylinder knitted fabric (17), a step in which a dial needle (13) is used to knit a dial knitted fabric (16), and a step in which a knotting yarn is used to join the cylinder knitted fabric and the dial knitted fabric. The knotting yarn, which is supplied to either the cylinder needle (5) or the dial needle (13), is caught by a hook portion (73) of a hooked knitting tool (7), which pulls the knotting yarn onto a stem at a position deviated from the tip of the open latch of the other needle, thus securing a knotting yarn length necessary for knotting the dial knitted fabric and the cylinder knitted fabric.

[Object] To eliminate the defects of the prior art in a technique for manufacturing a fabric of a stripe pattern using a number of knitting yarns (color yarns) exceeding the number of yarn feed fingers arranged in a yarn feed changer. [Means] The object is achieved by a stripe pattern knitting method in which a first feeder having a first yarn feed changer and a second feeder having a second yarn feed changer are used to knit one course. The first feeder performs welt needle selection. When a knitting yarn is newly fed to a knitting needle from the first yarn feed changer, the angle at which the yarn trapped by a trapper enters a yarn carrier is stably retained. After new yarns are fed to the knitting needles from the first and second yarn feed changers and formed into loops, old knitting yarns that cease to be fed are retained and cut at the same position.
