The input operation instruction and coordinate values are analyzed in an analysis control unit (12), and the data obtained by the analysis are subjected to contraction-scale computation to start a length measuring unit (13), an area measuring unit (14), and an arithmetic unit based on four rules of arithmetics (15) and thereby compute quantities including the length, area and volume. The results of this computation and what are input from the input unit are output from the analysis control unit (12) to a display unit (17) and a printer (18) through an output control unit (16).

Ihe memory device (4) is capable of rewriting the information in noncontacting fashion and is sealed in a pliable band portion (2). The band (11/2) is worn on the arm of a user of any of various facilities, or is affixed to a domestic animal or the like, whereby the specific information relating to the subject having the band (11) can be freely read and written. Accordingly, services to, and management of, the users of a facility or the like can easily be performed without a troublesome data input operation even when a data processing system (22) is employed.

An electronic blackboard wherein a multiplicity of heads for reading and writing storage data in relation to memories are disposed lengthwise and breadthwise on the surface of a board so that data can be read from and written into the memories on the board surface. Also disclosed is an electronic blackboard system which comprises input/output control means for controlling a storage data input/output operation in which heads which are disposed on the surface of a board are sequentially scanned to read or write storage data and data processing means for processing storage data, whereby storage data relative to a memory which is stuck on the board surface is read or written with a predetermined relationship between the head position and the storage data. By virtue of the above described arrangement, when a memory is stuck on the board surface, storage data is read from or written into the memory by means of the corresponding head through the input/output control means, and the read/write data is processed in the data processing means. Accordingly, it is possible to store data into memories on the board, read the data from the memories, and process data corresponding to the position of each memory stuck to the board surface.
