Such devices include: a plurality of spools (100), each dispensing a dry tow (110); optionally, a plurality of spreaders (120) to spread the dry tows (110); optionally, a means to combine the dry tows (110) into a plurality of tapes or bundles; a plurality of feeders (130), each carrying a tow, tape or bundle, and adapted to maintain the tows, tapes or bundles in a parallel arrangement; a cutting apparatus(140) adapted to independently cut each individual tow, tape or bundle to a pre-determined length; optionally, a conveyor (170) adapted to transport the cut tows, tapes or bundles away from the cutting apparatus (140); an in-line resin infuser (190) adapted to impregnate the dry tows, tapes or bundles with resin material; and a receiver (160) for the cut tows, tapes or bundles, wherein the cut tows, tapes or bundles are impregnated and configured in the form of a near-net shape ply (150).

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method of producing a coating liquid-impregnated reinforcing fiber fabric to which a coating liquid is applied. A problem addressed by the present invention is to provide a production method of a coating liquid-impregnated reinforcing fiber fabric, wherein the method can affect continuous running without clogging of generated fuzz even at a high running speed and affect efficient impregnation of a coating liquid into the reinforcing fiber fabric. The present invention is a method of producing a coating liquid-impregnated reinforcing fiber fabric 1b, including allowing a reinforcing fiber fabric 1a to pass substantially vertically downward through the inside of a coating section 20 storing a coating liquid 2 to provide the reinforcing fiber fabric 1a with the coating liquid 2; wherein the coating section 20 includes a liquid pool and a narrowed section which are in communication with each other; wherein the liquid pool has a portion whose cross-sectional area decreases continuously along a running direction of the reinforcing fiber fabric 1a, wherein the narrowed section has a slit-like cross-section and has a smaller cross-sectional area than the top side of the liquid pool, and wherein the vertical height of the portion whose cross-sectional area decreases continuously in the liquid pool is 10 mm or more.
