The second thermal conductivity state is lower than the first thermal conductivity state such that after one of the thermal interfaces has transitioned from the first thermal conductivity state to the second thermal conductivity state, heat transfer from the respective battery cells (256a, 256b, 256c, 256d, 256e, 258a, 258b, 258c, 258d, 258e) to the shared cooling structure (264) is reduced.
