    摘要: Disclosed is an improved promoter system for curing resin compositions based on unsaturated polyesters. The promoter system contains at least one primary promoter which is a metallic compound, such as a cobalt salt, and at least one co-promoter which is an alkyl alkanolamine. Such an alkyl alkanolamine is usually an amino (C 2 -C 4 ) alcohol, and it is present at 1-15 mole of amine per mole of equivalent cobalt metal. The use of alkyl alkanolamine reduces the level of the cobalt promoter in curing formulations with no deleterious effects on the curing performance, which leads to reduced color formation in finished products.
