A sending station generates and sends a physical protocol data unit PPDU, the PPDU includes a preamble field and a data field, a high efficiency signal field HE-SIG-A of the preamble field includes a bandwidth identifier and a channel bonding identifier, and the channel bonding identifier is used to indicate whether a data transmission channel is continuous in a frequency domain. In the foregoing manner, a discontinuous channel in a frequency domain in a wireless local area network is indicated, an available data transmission channel is improved, and a system throughput is increased.

摘要: This application provides a communications method and device, to reduce service interruption time and signaling overheads that are generated when an access point that provides a communication service for a station changes because the station moves or changes a direction. In this solution, first frames sent by different access points in an access point set to a station include a same sending address. In this way, when the station moves or changes a direction, the access point that provides the communication service for the station changes from one access point in the access point set to another access point. Because first frames sent by access points in the access point set include a same sending address, the station may consider the access point set as one access point. In this way, the station does not need to perform an access point switching process, thereby avoiding station service interruption and signaling overheads that are caused by the access point switching process.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide an access method, including: sending, to an access point, a first frame that carries uplink transmission requirement information; and if a second frame that carries information about an uplink transmission resource is received from the access point within agreed time period, sending uplink multi-user transmission data to the access point, where the uplink multi-user transmission data is transmitted on the uplink transmission resource; or if the second frame is not received within an agreed time period, accessing, by a station, a channel in a contention access manner that is based on carrier sense CSMA/CA. According to the method provided in the embodiments of the present invention, a channel access manner can be managed, a congestion degree of a system can be decreased, and channel utilization can be increased.
