The data portion is Fourier-transformed according to the extracted transmission parameters by the Fourier transform block (303). The Fourier-transformed signal is demodulated by a demodulating block (304) and outputted as reception data. Thus, the delay profile used for determining the guard interval can be accurately made. Therefore the transmission quality is ensured, and the frequency use efficiency is improved.

A directivity switching instruction section 107 controls switching between directivities so as to maintain the same directivity after the reference signal is transmitted with a directivity until packet data is transmitted with a directivity.
