摘要： Disclosed herein is a photoreceptor for electrophotography (10) having an over coating layer (14) formed on a substrate (11) and prepared by applying a composition containing silica particles, an organic compound chemically bonded thereto and a photo polymerization initiator and by curing said composition; said organic compound having an polymerizable unsaturated group, a group designated by Formula (1) or a group designated by Formula (2), and said silica particles and said organic compound being bonded with each other through a silyloxy group. The photoreceptor for electrophotography (10) has not only excellent durabilities and an excellent resistance to printing but also excellent electrophoto characteristics such as sensitivity and a residual potential.

摘要： An electrophotographic apparatus is disclosed which has an electrophotographic photosensitive member and a transfer means. The photosensitive member has a conductive support and a photosensitive layer, and further has a surface layer comprised of a binder resin, fluorine atom- or silicon atom-containing compound particles incompatible with the binder resin, and a fluorine atom- or silicon atom-containing compound compatible with the binder resin. In the surface layer, the proportion of fluorine atoms and silicon atoms to carbon atoms, (F+Si)/C, as measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy is 0.01 to 1.0. Additionally, the transfer means is a multiple-transfer means.
