    摘要: A collector for an electric motor consisting of flat copper lamella elements which are distributed on the periphery and are anchored in an insulating carrier made from a plastic pressed material with internal web-type elements exhibiting undercuts. At least one armouring ring with a clamping ring made of an electrically conducting material are included in the carrier which engages with the inner web-type elements on extensions in the region of the undercuts and which is made of an insulating material at least on the inner side thereof facing the extensions. In order to simplify production and obtain improved quality, a single piece structure is provided for the entire armouring ring, exhibiting high mechanical and thermal resilience, whereupon the clamping ring part is formed by a winding of filaments surrounding the supporting ring part.

The hub (41) is configured with an inner wall section that has contact sections (46) and relieft sections (47), wherein the contact sections are closer to the central axis of the hub than the radius of the shaft and which are deformed when the hub is pressed on the shaft. While the relief sections (47), which do not come in contact with the shaft, allow the commutator to adapt to the shaft and provide room for material that is displaced from the contact sections. The hub (41) and, to a limited extent, the metallic conductive elements (33), absord any stresses and deformation from press-fitting the hub onto the motor shaft without transmitting undue stress and deformation to the interface betweenthe conductive elements and the carbon communtating segments (31).

    摘要: In a slip ring arrangement for the rotor of an electrical three-phase current generator for motor vehicles or the like, it is proposed to link the end of the slip ring holder to the rotor or armature spindle by pushing it over a smaller-diameter journal of the rotor spindle and securing it axially by making it a force fit or, for example, by means of splines, where plastic-coated busbars run from the slip rings in grooves in the armature spindle beneath the ball-bearing and their broadened ends are soldered to the excitation winding connecting wires. Alternatively, the slip ring holder may be secured to the journal or a bearing neck pressed into the end of the rotor spindle by a clip, while prestressed leaf springs ensure axial clearance. In both cases, the flange of the slip ring holder pushed over the armature spindle and the fan fitted at the same place may be in one piece, whereby the metal parts of the fan are laid in the extrusion or compression mould for making the plastic bearing housing together with slip rings and busbars, and the housing is formed around them.

    摘要: A commutator (10) for a motor is disclosed which includes a plurality of commutator segments (12) arranged in a cylindric array (14) such that the array has a cylindrical outer periphery (20) and two axial ends. An annular recess (26, 28) is formed adjacent each end (22, 24) of the array so that a portion of each commutator segment (12) forms a part of the radially inner wall of each recess. Two or more rings (34, 36) constructed of an insulating material are provided and one or more rings are press fit into each recess so that the rings (34, 36) exert a radially inward force on the commutator segment (12). The anchoring portions of the commutator segments (12) are then encapsulated with a settable and electrically insulating material (40), such as phenolic. Upon hardening and curing, the phenolic secures the commutator segments (12) together. At the same time, the radially inward force exerted by the rings (34, 36) on the commutator segments (12) serves to stabilize the commutator segments (12) against movement relative to each other during high speed rotation of the commutator (10). A method for manufacturing the commutator is also disclosed.
