    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and its system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting a higher data rate than a 4th-Generation (4G) system with an Internet of things (IoT) technology. The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and an IoT-related technology (e.g., a smart home, a smart building, a smart city, a smart car or a connected car, health care, digital education, retail, security and safety services). According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, an operating method of a base station, in a wireless communication system, may include performing a channel access procedure in an unlicensed band, obtaining a transmission result of a downlink signal for a reference slot based on the channel access procedure, and determining a size of a contention section for a next channel access procedure, based on the transmission result, and the reference slot may be a starting slot in downlink transmission by the base station.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to: a communication technique combining a 5G communication system, for supporting a higher data transfer rate than 4G systems, with loT technology; and a system therefor. The present disclosure can be applied to intelligent services (for example, smart homes, smart buildings, smart cities, smart cars or connected cars, healthcare, digital education, retail businesses, security and safety-related services, etc.) on the basis of 5G communication technology and loT-related technology. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method of a terminal side link communication is characterized by further comprising: determining a first path attenuation between a second terminal and a first terminal; determining a second path attenuation between a base station and the first terminal; determining the transmission power of the first terminal based on at least one among the first pathloss and the second pathloss; and transmitting a signal based on the transmission power of the first terminal.
