According to the invention, radial (6) grooves (10) extend convergingly in the direction (7) from the centre (8) of the grinding plate toward the outer portion (9) thereof, which grooves are arranged to holdingly co-operate with detachable congruent gripping members projecting from the underside of the respective holding plate (2) . Related grinding elements are arranged to be situated on the top side of the respective holding plate (2), and the grooves (10) as well as the gripping members have wedge-shaped sloping edge surfaces for the mutual gripping cooperation between pair-wise groove edge surfaces and gripping- member edge surfaces.

Ein Werkzeug (1) zur Bearbeitung von Flächen, insbesondere von Wänden, aus Natur- und Kunststein, welches zur Verwendung in einem Handgerät geeignet ist, umfasst eine kreisförmige Trägerplatte (10) sowie mindestens ein Schneidelement (20) in der Form eines Zylindersegments mit einem Segmentwinkel von 20 - 160°, bestehend aus einem Tragkörper aus Hartmetall und einem stirnseitigen Abschnitt aus polykristallinem Diamant (PKD). Das Schneidelement (20) ist derart mit seinem Zylindermantelabschnitt an der Trägerplatte (10) befestigt, dass beide radialen geraden Kanten (22a, 22b), welche den stirnseitigen PKD-Abschnitt begrenzen, eine über die Trägerplatte (10) vorstehende Arbeitskante (23) bilden. Bei dieser spezifisch auf Handgeräte ausgerichteten Anordnung der Schneidelemente (20) ist ein überaus effizientes Bearbeiten von Flächen aus Natur-oder Kunststein möglich. Das Werkzeug (1) ist gleichzeitig derart dauerhaft, dass bei der Verwendung in Handwerkzeugen auch nach langem Gebrauch keine Verschleisserscheinungen feststellbar sind. Mit dem Werkzeug (1) kann schliesslich auch bei Handgeräten erreicht werden, dass im Rahmen der Bearbeitung nicht ein Zerreiben des Materials erfolgt, sondern dass dieses vielmehr spanweise abgetragen wird.

A whetstone pellet 1 is composed of a columnar base body 2 to be fixed on a pedestal 9, and an abrasive grain part 5 containing numerous abrasive grains formed by electroless plating on an end surface 3 of the base body 2. Upon forming the abrasive grain part 5, a plated layer is formed on the end surface 3 of the base body 2 under stirring a plating solution containing abrasive grains, whereby the distribution of the abrasive grains in the abrasive grain part 5 can be uniformized.
