The invention relates to a method for erecting a tower made of prestressed concrete prefabricated assembly units and to a device for advantageous implementation of said method.In order to at least reduce the number of known problems occurring according to prior art when erecting a tower, a funnel-shaped device (8) is used to guide a pretensing wire (8) whose smaller cross-section (11) is substantially similar to the cross-section of the jacket tube (7). A seal (20) is also provided to create a pressure-tight transition between two segments (4, 6) arranged on top of each other. The height of the seal (20) corresponds substantially to the predetermined distance of the segments. A prestressed concrete prefabricated assembly unit (4, 6) is also disclosed, the inventive device (8) being integrated therein. The invention further relates to a method wherein expoxy resin is used as a bonding material (34) between two segments.

The invention relates to a centrifugal pump impeller having a radial structure which combines the advantages of a fully open pump impeller and a closed one, is substantially free from axial flow forces and in which the input conditions and therefore the suction characteristics are improved further in relation to known centrifugal pump impellers. To this end the invention provides for the covering disk segments (4.1; 4.3; 4.5; ...; 4.n-1) and rear side segments (4.2; 4.4; 4.6; ...; 4.n) to each have a through hole (4.1a; 4.3a; 4.5a; ...; 4.n-1a or 4.2a; 4.4a; 4.6a; ...; 4.na). All of said through holes start at an internal diameter defined by a radial formed hub (2a) which is outermost viewed in a radial direction and situated in the input area of the blade channels, and extend radially outwards.

A multi-swirl combustor plate (100) is disclosed. The multi-swirl combustor plate contains a plurality of swirlers (104) arranged around an interior section of the combustor plate, and a plurality of non-swirled holes (106) arranged around an exterior section of the plate (102) that had been cast as a solid section. The swirlers are preferably arranged in concentric circles, and the non-swirled holes are also preferably created in concentric circles disposed outside of the swirlers. In accordance with the present invention, each of the swirlers also preferably comprises an outer wall (210) having a thickness greater than that of the multi-swirl plate and is an extension of the multi-swirl plate disposed in the downstream direction. Similarly, the swirler hub (212) also has a thickness greater than that of the plate and is an extension disposed in the downstream direction. Methods of making a swirler plate are also disclosed that include the step of first casting a plate comprising a center section having a number of swirlers and a solid outer section. The solid outer section is then subsequently machined to create a plurality of non-swirled holes. Preferably, two concentric rings of swirlers are cast and/or concentric rings of non-swirled holes are created. The present invention thus permits the patterns of swirlers and non-swirled holes to be varied depending upon the demands of a particular turbine.

A motor pump group has a plurality of centrifugal pumps of the same nominal port diameter including a plurality of impellers having stepwise greater outside diameters for stepwise higher pump heads, and a plurality of respective motors for actuating the pumps. The pump heads are classified into a low head section and a high head section. The low head section is handled by a single-stage impeller, and the high head section is handled by multi-stage impellers. The centrifugal pumps have respective pressed-sheet pump casings. The outside diameters of the impellers are not required to be increased in the high head section, and the outside diameters of the pump casings fall in a relatively small range.
