摘要: An electrically operable aerosol-generating system comprises a charging device comprising a primary power source, and an elongated aerosol-generating device comprising a secondary power source. The charging device has a docking arrangement configured to engage with the aerosol-generating device, the docking arrangement comprising a docking space defined between a first end, and an opposing second end spaced from and fixed relative to the first end. The docking space accommodates a longitudinal dimension of the elongated aerosol-generating device between the first end and the second end. The aerosol-generating device can be engaged with the docking arrangement by means of a transverse movement.

摘要: A composite wick is provided for use in a micro-vaporizer having a fluid reservoir and a heating element. The composite wick comprises a wick body positionable so that its upstream surface is in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir and the downstream surface is disposed in opposition to a surface of the heating element. The wick body comprises at least one base wick structure having a plurality of tortuous passages that collectively provide a capillary effect to draw fluid from the reservoir and transport it toward the downstream surface. The wick body further comprises an active material positioned within the wick body so that vaporizable fluid drawn through the wick body contacts and interacts with the active material. The active material is selected to impart a desired characteristic to the vaporizable fluid.

摘要: The invention relates to a liquid reservoir/wick portion (15) and to an electronic smoking device (10) comprising a liquid reservoir/wick portion (15). In order to avoid that different liquids undesirably mix in a wick (30) of the electronic smoking device (10), the liquid reservoir/wick portion (15) comprises the wick (30), the wick (30) comprising a liquid receiving cite (35) that faces a liquid volume (42) of the liquid reservoir/wick portion (15), and a liquid supply side (40) opposite of the liquid receiving side (45), the liquid supply side (40) facing away from the liquid storage volume (42) and towards an atomizing element (26) of the electronic smoking device (10). A press part (48) is provided configured to press the atomizing element (26) against the liquid supply side (40) of the wick (30), wherein the atomizing element (26) is arranged between the press part (48) and the liquid reservoir/wick portion (15).

摘要: The present invention provides an atomizing core, an atomizer, an aerosol generating device and a method for machining an atomizing core. The atomizing core comprises a porous substrate, a heating layer and an electrode; at least one side surface of the porous substrate is provided with an atomizing surface; and by forming an electrode on the porous substrate by using a thick film means, the heating layer is covered on the atomizing surface of the porous substrate, and an electrode does not need to be provided on the heating layer. Therefore, the electrode may be firmly bonded to the porous substrate, and the electrode will also not be impacted by a matrix fluid formed by a high-temperature and high-speed aerosol, so that the electrode does not easily fall off. The method for machining an atomizing core provided in the present invention comprises : first forming an electrode on a porous substrate by using a thick film means; then plating a layer of titanium film on an atomizing surface of the porous substrate by means of a magnetron sputtering process; and then plating a heating layer on the titanium film by means of the magnetron sputtering process, so that the electrode may be firmly bonded to the porous substrate, preventing the electrode from falling off due to the impact of a matrix fluid formed by a high-temperature and high-speed aerosol.
