In one embodiment, the cage can be positioned within the bearing assembly raceway and comprises a cage body, the body having a plurality of parallel annular rims joined by a plurality of rungs, the rungs separated so as to define a plurality of main roller openings in the cage body for receiving the plurality of main rollers, the rungs having a plurality of mediate roller retainers extending from the rungs, the retainers permitting counter-rotating of the mediate rollers with the main rollers in the main roller openings. The inventive bearing assembly results in substantial reduction of noise and vibration when compared to conventional bearing assemblies.

    摘要: A linear motion guide unit is disclosed in which a separator interposed between any two adjoining rollers fits over or embraces the rollers flanking the separator, thereby realizing low noise and low wear. The separator(4) lying between any two adjoining rollers(3) is made concaved(22) at forward and aft sides thereof to fit snugly over the rollers(3) in rolling-contact relation. The separator(4) is made with a sunken relief(30) on at least an inward side(54) thereof, which is near a radially inside curved surface (29) in the turnaround(11,12), the sunken relief(30) extending lengthwise of the separator(4) and being provided by making the separator(4) reduced in width lest the separator(4) comes in engagement with the radially inside curved surface(29) in the turnaround (11,12). A gutter(30) for relief is cut in the radially inside curved surface(29) in the turnaround (11,12) in a way extending circumferentially along the turnaround(11,12), thereby keeping the separator(4) from coming in any interference with the radially inside curved surface(29) in the turnaround(11,12) when the separator(4) travels through the turnaround(11,12).

    摘要: A radial rolling bearing has cylindrical rolling bodies (2) which roll between an inner ring (11) and an outer ring (10). Individual spacers (1) are inserted between every two adjacent rolling bodies (2). The spacers (1) have contact surfaces (4) on both sides of their longitudinal center plane (3) and when the radial rolling bearing rotates, they are guided by means of one of their end sections (4a) on a running track of the inner ring (11) or outer ring (10). The spacer (1) is characterised in that a section (5) of the contact surfaces (4) has a convex, concave or flat profile on both sides of a sector (12) of the radial rolling bearing. When said section (5) is concave, its radius of curvature is substantially larger than the radius of curvature (8) of the rolling body (2). Because of the missing osculation between the spacer (1) and rolling body (2), an improved lubrification is achieved, and because of a defined point of application of force of the rolling body (2) on the spacer (1), the braking effect of the spacer (1) is compensated. Because of the reduced frictional heat, rolling bearings with such spacers can be driven at a very hig maximum speed of rotation.
