    摘要: A method of estimating a load bearing on a vehicle tire (12) is disclosed. The method comprises: deploying a deformation measuring sensor (16) in the tire (12), the deformation measuring sensor (16) generating a cyclical tire deformation signal indicative of tire deformation in a contact patch of a rolling tire; deploying a tire inflation pressure measuring sensor (22) in the tire (12), the inflation pressure measuring sensor measuring tire inflation pressure from within a tire cavity, and calculating a tire rolling speed estimation based upon the tire deformation signal; calculating a tire contact patch length estimation based upon the tire deformation signal; and calculating a load estimation on the tire (12) based upon the tire inflation pressure, the tire contact patch length estimation, and the tire rolling speed estimation. Also, a system of estimating a load bearing on a vehicle tire is disclosed. The system comprises a vehicle tire (12) supporting a load; an inflation pressure measuring sensor (22); and a deformation measuring sensor (16). The deformation measuring sensor (16) comprises a piezoelectric sensor. Furthermore, the system comprises a programmed data processor for calculating a contact patch length estimation from the deformation signal; a programmed data processor for calculating a tire rolling speed estimation from the deformation signal; and an artificial neural network programmed to adaptively interpret the tire rolling speed estimation, the contact patch length estimation, and the measured inflation pressure of the tire and generate an output load estimation based thereon.

The method includes a step of acquiring the wheel rotation information to be obtained from the tire, a step of storing the wheel rotation information, a step of acquiring a load sensitivity of a tire dynamic loaded radius due to a load shift during a turning, a step of acquiring a speed dependency of the load sensitivity, a step of comparing a load sensitivity of a tire dynamic loaded radius at a speed acquired based on the speed dependency with preliminarily stored load sensitivities of dynamic loaded radiuses of various tires, a step of estimating a decreased pressure sensitivity of the tire dynamic loaded radius based on a result of the comparison, and a step of determining that the tire has a decreased air pressure based on a result of the estimation. The speed dependency is acquired from a change of a front and rear wheel speed ratio.

    摘要: An system for detection of deflated tires based on a resonance frequency of tires with a vehicle and a relative comparison value of rotation speeds of the tires. The system includes: a rotation information detection means for detecting rotation information of the tires; a rotation speed calculation means for calculating rotation speeds of the tires; a resonance frequency assumption means for assuming a resonance frequency of the tires; and a determination means for detection of deflated tires using a decreased pressure determination index calculated by a relative comparison of the rotation speeds of the tires and the resonance frequency. The determination means is so configured, assuming that the first determination index at which warning is issued when the resonance frequency exceeds the first threshold a predetermined number of times is 100 in detecting deflated tires based on the resonance frequency and when the first determination value has a converted percentage equal to or higher than 10 and lower than 100, as to reduce the second threshold to be compared with the decreased pressure determination index to a value equal to or higher than 1% and equal to or lower than 90% and to detect deflated tires when the decreased pressure determination index exceeds the reduced threshold.
