    摘要: A method and apparatus for estimating the radio link status between an MS and a BS in a wireless communication system are provided, in which the MS and the BS make the same decision as to the radio link status. The method and apparatus provide a radio link status estimation procedure suitable for a Packet-Switched network system. Thus, when each of an MS and a BS detects errors in its radio link status, it notifies the other party of the poor radio link status, thereby preventing an unnecessary MS or BS operation and saving radio resources.

The method includes performing at a first transmission time a process of hierarchizing a series of resource units constituting a service frequency band in a plurality of levels, and hierarchically dividing the series of resource units into blocks including at least one consecutive resource unit in each of the levels, and allocating some of the hierarchically divided blocks as frequency resources for each of the terminals; and performing, at a second transmission time, a process of hierarchically hopping the blocks allocated as the frequency resources for each of the terminals so that the blocks each have a different frequency band from a frequency band used at the first transmission time, and allocating the hopped blocks as frequency resources for each of the terminals.

    摘要: An apparatus and a method for selectively scheduling channels in mobile communication systems adopting Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access, are provided. In an exemplary apparatus and method, the channels are scheduled with a pilot for measuring the signal-to-noise ratio in order to support the selective schedule of the channels in a reverse direction. At a base station in the mobile communication systems, the method includes requiring a terminal to transmit a pilot, receiving the pilot from the terminal within a specified frequency band or over the whole frequency band, and selectively scheduling channels, requiring the terminal to transmit data having a result of the scheduling therewith and receiving from the terminal the data having the result of the scheduling therewith.

A Node B sends combining information to the UE, and combinable cells use the same radio resources and the same scrambling sequence in data transmission to the UE. The Node B transmits data to the UE over a high speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) and the UE transmits information indicating reception of the data to the Node B over the uplink HS-DPCCH. The RNC informs the UE of a power offset for determining a transmission power increment of the uplink HS-DPCCH, if it is determined that the UE is located in the handover region. The RNC informs the Node B of the power offset so that the Node B can determine a threshold value for determining information indicating reception of the data, depending on the power offset.
