A living body data management system with a function of displaying a growth process graph is provided which allows an examiner to visually realize growth trends of a height and body weight of a subject who is in a process during which growths of the height and body weight are significant, in contrast to reference growth trends of a body weight and height. The system displays reference growth range data obtained as average growth ranges of body weights and heights of a number infants during a period spanning from birth until they reach under the age of seven as growth curve graphs (H,W) on graph display means and further displays acquired data stored in acquired data storing means over the growth curve graphs (H,W) displayed on the graph display means. Thereby, an examiner can visually realize growth statuses of the acquired data by contrasting the acquired data with the growth curve graphs (H,W) at a glance.

Disclosed is an improved living body variable measuring apparatus equipped with a display capable of presenting a time-related graphic representation. The graphic representation is composed of crosswise arrangement of rectangles relative to abscissa and ordinate representing time and measured quantity respectively. Each time-related column has a selected rectangle representing the quantity of a measured living body variable. The horizontal time-related arrangement of narrow rectangles facilitates survey of graphic representation. The living body variable measuring apparatus permits the user to select desired data among those measured for record, preventing so selected data from invading locations allotted to others' data and vice versa.

An object of the present invention is to provide a living body measuring device which, once the personal information having been set therein, executes an arithmetic operation simply by making a measurement without requiring a user to remember his/her personal memory number. The living body measuring device of the present invention stores a plurality of measured body weight values and/or bioelectrical impedance values as well as a plurality of personal body information such as sex, age and body height set in an initial stage for a plurality of users, compares the measured values with those stored values, and determines who the current subject is by considering the most proximal values to be the data associated with the measured subject, thereby calculating a body-related index automatically. Especially, if both of the bioelectrical impedance and the body weight are used, then the determination may be more accurate. A device for measuring the sole length of a user is also disclosed. The invention used can be in a body fat meter.

A resinous cover for use in a bioelectrical impedance measuring apparatus is provided, in which the processes for manufacturing the resinous cover are significantly decreased in number and the components thereof are decreased in number and therefore the cost thereof is reduced to a low level. Further, such a resinous cover cause little the soles of feet to feel cool when the bioelectrical impedance is being measured, and the area of the electrode which comes into contact with the soles of feet is wide. A resinous cover for use in a bioelectrical impedance measuring apparatus, comprising electrodes and an insulating portion provided among the electrodes, wherein said electrodes and said insulating portion are integrally-molded.

Disclosed is a impedance measuring apparatus which is easy to use, and which is guaranteed to be free of incorrect measurement caused by some joints appearing in the current flowing passage intervening between two selected body parts and by the indefinite length between two selected body parts. The measuring apparatus of the present invention limits the place of the body under measurement to "one body region", i.e. a selected joint-to-joint body portion or joint-free body portion such as the forearm extending from the wrist to the elbow or the portion extending from the ankle to the knee, and comprises a housing having a contact surface to be applied to one selected body region; a first pair of measurement current supplying electrodes so placed on the contact surface that the one selected body region may be put in contact with the current electrodes; and a first pair of voltage measuring electrodes so placed on the contact surface between the pair of current electrodes that the one selected body region may be put in contact with the voltage electrodes.

Disclosed is a living body measuring apparatus with a built-in weight meter (1), comprising: a measuring platform; and electrodes (5), whereby said measuring platform being constructed in two-layered configuration having inner and outer boards (3,4), said electrodes being arranged on said outer board to measure a living body impedance, and said outer board of the measuring platform being formed from a transparent plate. Therefore a paper bearing the caution notice or the description of operation can be affixed to the lower surface of the outer board because they are still visible through the transparent outer board (4). This obviates the tendency for a person to be measured to inevitably tread the paper with his soles for measurement. Furthermore, if the person mounts the outer board with his feet as wetted after taking a bath, there is no possibility to wet the paper, thereby preventing the paper from peeling off.

Disclosed is a calorie control apparatus for calculating and controlling the calorie intake by entering a name of food ingested, comprising a voice input unit; a memory unit; a voice recognition unit; and a control unit. According to the present invention said voice input unit enters a voice signal, and said memory unit stores the calorie value per a unit amount of each of foods. Said voice recognition unit identifies the name of food on the basis of the voice signal entered, and said control unit calculates the calorie intake on the basis of the calorie value per a unit amount of the food stored in the memory unit corresponding to the food name identified.

Disclosed is an apparatus for determining a degree of fatigue of a human body, comprising: two pairs of electrodes; an electric current source; a voltage measuring unit; an arithmetic unit; a storage unit; and a display unit. The two pairs of electrodes are configured to contact with a body of a person under test. The electric current source feeds a measurement current via selected ones of said electrodes. The voltage measuring unit measures a voltage between another selected ones of said electrodes. The storage unit stores a bioelectrical impedance calculated by said arithmetic unit and a reference value. The arithmetic unit calculates the bioelectrical impedance based on the measurement value from said voltage measuring unit and a degree of fatigue of the person under test by comparing the currently measured value of the bioelectrical impedance with the reference value of the bioelectrical impedance stored in the storage unit. The display unit indicates the degree of fatigue of the person under test.
