The present invention is a case for portable electronic devices. The case has a body which includes a receiving portion for releasably receiving a portable electronic device. The case also has at least one user operable input means for detecting user selection of at least one parameter, and a communication module for providing a communication channel between the case and the portable electronic device. A signal determined from a user selection of the at least one parameter is communicable from the case to the portable electronic device across the communication channel.

An adapter module (1) for a portable electronic device (2) is disclosed. The adapter module is applied with a tablet electronic device (3). The adapter module includes an antenna unit (11), a first connection interface (13) and a second connection interface (15). The first connection interface (13) is configured for electrically connecting to the portable electronic device (2). The second connection interface (15) is configured for electrically connecting to the tablet electronic device (3). When the first connection interface is electrically connected to the portable electronic device and the second connection interface is electrically connected to the tablet electronic device, the portable electronic device (2) transmits a signal through the antenna unit (11) of the adapter module (1), and the tablet electronic device (3) displays an output information of the portable electronic device.

To enable a portable information terminal to be freely held at a position desired by a user, a holding base capable of holding one of a first portable information terminal and a second portable information terminal that is larger than the first portable information terminal includes a holding base main body having a main mounting surface inclined with respect to a horizontal surface. A terminal cover to be fixed to a lower end of the main mounting surface supports a lower end of the portable information terminal. An extensible holding member, which is provided on a first side edge portion side of the holding base main body and includes a slide plate that is slidable inside the holding base main body, has an extensible mounting surface that is movable in parallel to the main mounting surface and is capable of holding the second portable information terminal when the extensible holding member is extended to a predetermined extension position. A plurality of cradle tabs provided on the main mounting surface are brought into a state of being embedded below the main mounting surface when the plurality of cradle tabs are folded, and are projected above the main mounting surface when the plurality of cradle tabs are raised, thereby being capable of supporting a lower end of the first portable state terminal on the main mounting surface.

A case body (102, 202) has an outer (214) and an inner surface (216), the inner surface defines at least part of a case compartment that receives an electronic device. A drawing pad (104, 204) is attached to the case body and has a touch sensitive input region (140), which senses drawing gestures thereon, and a detachable data communications interface (120, 122) that detachably connects a communications link to the electronic device. The communications link conveys indication data corresponding to sensed drawing gestures to the electronic device.
