    摘要: An adjustment device for use in stabilising and possibly levelling a dining table, when located on an uneven floor, is provided as a replacement foot for one of the existing feet of a multi-legged table. The adjustment device has a threaded post or insertable plug for secure connection to the leg and a slidably movable stem angularly interconnected to each other using a spring to urge the stem into a fully extended position. When sufficient force is applied, the stem moves against the bias of the spring to adopt a more retracted adjusted position in which all of the feet contact the uneven floor to stabilise the position of the table. The advantage of the adjustment device is that it automatically adjusts itself to the correct position to prevent rocking of the table when force is applied to the device or to the table, but retains the adjusted position due to the weight of the table.
