摘要： An electric machine comprises a first stator (12) having a set of magnetic elements (14) adapted to form a predetermined number of magnetic pole pairs; and a wound, second stator (16) separated from the first stator (12) by an air gap and having one or more phases of armature coils (18i) adapted to form a predetermined number of magnetic pole pairs. A rotor member (20) is located in the air gap and has a predetermined number of pole pieces (22). A controller 23 drives the coils of the second stator.
