Abstract:
A low viscosity silicone glycol surfactant together with glycerin is added to a polytetrafluoroethylene dispersion for use with an electroless nickel plating bath. The improved plating bath produces a stable PTFE dispersion that continues to work as the plating bath ages and that produces an electroless nickel deposit with greater than 20 percent by volume of PTFE in the deposit.

The crosslinkable fluorinated elastomer composition comprises a fluorinated elastomer (e.g. a tetrafluoroethylene/perfluoro(alkyl vinyl ether) copolymer) and an aromatic compound having at least two crosslinkable unsaturated double bonds (e.g. a compound represented by the formula (A-1)), and the crosslinked product is one obtained by crosslinking the crosslinkable fluorinated elastomer composition.
Abstract:
The invention relates to medicine, and more particularly, to electrotherapy using static electricity of electret coatings for treatment of arthrosis of different joints: knee, hip, and shoulder, including for the arthrosis treatment of small bones of arms and legs. The invention allows increasing the therapeutic action efficiency of the electrostatic field of the electret coating of the implant on bone tissues by conservation of the initial charge density of the electret coating and its high stability over time. The task in the present method for treatment of arthrosis is solved by the fact that an electret implant placing into a bone is made during a treatment course. The method is characterized by a preliminary performed hole in the bone directed towards a zone of a maximum lesion by pathological process. The electret implant is placed with a gap into the prepared hole in the bone so that it is as close as possible to the bone area affected by the pathological process. The implant is immobilized by a fixation device to prevent displacement of the implant with an optimum treatment position in the bone. The inventive electret implant includes an extended body with a proximal and a distal end. On surface of the body a dielectric coating in an electret state is formed. The implant, wherein its body is implemented as a rod, at the proximal end of which a frontal surface is formed, and the fixation device of the implant in the hole in the bone can be made at the distal end. The bushing, wherein on its outer surface a thread for its set is made in the hole in the bone, and on its inner surface a thread for fixation of the electret implant in the hole is made.
Abstract:
The present invention aims to provide a resin composition which can provide a molded article excellent in insulation and showing a low relative permittivity and which causes no melt fracture even when extrusion-molded at a high shear rate. The resin composition of the present invention includes an aromatic polyether ketone resin (I) and a fluororesin (II). The fluororesin (II) is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and a perfluoro ethylenically unsaturated compound represented by the following formula (1):
CF 2 =CF-Rf 1 (1)
wherein Rf 1 represents -CF 3 or -ORf 2 ; and Rf 2 represents a C1-C5 perfluoroalkyl group. The aromatic polyether ketone resin (I) and the fluororesin (II) satisfy a melt viscosity ratio (I)/(II) of not lower than 0.001 but lower than 0.3.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a processing aid for polyolefins which can eliminate melt fracture occurring at the start of molding in a short time even when a polyolefin, which is a melt-processable polymer, is extrusion-molded at a high speed. The present invention also aims to provide a polyolefin composition containing such a processing aid for polyolefins and a polyolefin. The processing aid for polyolefins contains an ethylene/tetrafluoroethylene copolymer as the only fluoropolymer, the ethylene/tetrafluoroethylene copolymer having a melting point of 170°C to 270°C.
