    摘要： An injection device having an outer housing configured to receive a syringe. The syringe has a barrel for containing medicament and a needle in fluid communication with the barrel. The device further has a needle shield axially moveable relative to the outer housing between a needle covering position and a needle exposing position and a biasing means to bias the needle shield axially forwardly toward the needle covering position. A locking sleeve, axially movable relative to the outer housing between a non-locking position and a locking position, selectively limits axial movement of the needle shield. In a first configuration, the needle shield is axially slideable within the locking sleeve to permit rearward axial movement of the needle shield from the needle covering position to the needle exposing position. In a subsequent configuration, the needle shield is prevented from moving axially rearwardly by interference with the locking sleeve, thereby maintaining the needle shield in the needle protecting position. The device may reduce the risk of needle stick injuries when compared to known injection devices and also may prevent unintentional re use of the device.

    摘要： A syringe assembly comprising a barrel for containing one or more medicaments, the barrel having a front outlet for allowing the expulsion of said one or more medicaments from the said barrel through said outlet, and a first stopper disposed in the barrel and axially moveable therein and defining a first volume in the barrel axially forwards of the first stopper and a second volume in the barrel axially rearwards of the first stopper. The first stopper has a two way valve that is moveable between a sealing configuration and an open configuration to selectively put the first volume in fluid communication with the second volume. The two way valve is moveable from the sealing configuration to the open configuration by an increase in fluid pressure in either of the first and second volumes. The syringe assembly additionally comprises a second stopper disposed in the barrel axially rearward of the first stopper and axially moveable therein, the second stopper providing a fluid tight seal at a rear end of the second volume. The syringe assembly further comprises a first plunger rod connected to the first stopper and extending axially rearwardly through the second stopper, the second stopper sealingly engaging with the first plunger rod but permitting axial sliding of the first plunger rod therethrough. The first plunger rod is axially moveable so as to axially move the first stopper and pressurise either of the first volume and second volume causing the two way valve to move into the open configuration and fluidly connect the first volume and second volume.

    摘要： Aerosol dispensing apparatus comprising a housing in which a container can be located, an outlet leading from the housing, a receiving block having an inlet for receiving an outlet member of the container and a passage through which contents of the container may pass on their way to the outlet when the container is actuated. The housing contains a carriage in which the container is firmly gripped. The carriage is able to slide reciprocally within the housing as the container moves between rest and actuated positions and comprises a projection. The housing further comprises an abutment and is formed with an upper part which houses at least the container, in use, and a lower part comprising, at least, the outlet. The upper and lower parts are conjoined so that the lower part may rotate relative to the upper part between locked and unlocked positions, wherein in the locked position the abutment is aligned with the projection so as to prevent movement of the carriage into the actuated position of the container and in the unlocked position the abutment is out of alignment with the projection so as to allow movement of the carriage into the actuated position.
