    摘要: The invention relates to a process and a device for removing punch rivets (23) set in a workpiece (12,13), which are tubular and axisymmetric in design. Upon setting of the punch rivet (23) a punched-out piece (21) remaining therein is removed by a tool (18) and thereafter a threaded mandrel (20) is screwed into the punch rivet (23) with simultaneous formation of a substantially continuous distinctive thread. Upon its subsequent withdrawal counter to the pressure of an abutment (22) resting on the workpiece (12,13) the threaded mandrel (20) withdraws the punch rivet (23) from the workpiece (12,13).

    A self-piercing type rivet setting system 30 comprises: a rivet swaging assembly 35; a robot 6 which moves the rivet swaging assembly 35 to put it in position relative to a predetermined site on a workpiece to be riveted; a single integrated controller 31 made up by an integration of a controller for controlling a riveting operation of the rivet swaging assembly and a controller for controlling the motion of the robot; and a rivet feeder 9 for automatically feeding a self-piercing type rivet to the rivet swaging assembly. From the integrated controller 31, a interface cable 33 extends to the robot 6 and another interface cable 34 extends to the rivet feeder 3, and the rivet swaging assembly 35 is integrally incorporated into the robot 6.

Under a condition where the electrical connection member 3 is attached to the pipe holder 2 by the engagement leg 25, the pipe contact portion 29 of the electrical connection member 3 extends toward the pipe grip 13 to come into contact with the pipe 21 held in the pipe grip and the stud contact portion 30 of the electrical connection member 3 comes into contact with the stud received in the stud receiving hole, so that the pipe 21 in contact with said pipe contact portion 29 is electrically connected to the body panel 5 via the stud 6.

    摘要: In a fastener setting tool (1) having a container (15) for collecting the broken pieces of fasteners such as blind rivets and lock bolts which are fastened by breaking its mandrel, to prevent the broken pieces of the mandrels from being entangling to each other in the collecting container. A fastener setting tool (1) is constructed that the mandrel of a fastener is inserted into a nose (6) at the front end of the tool; the body of the fastener projected from the nose is inserted into the mounting hole of a base member such as a panel; under that condition, the mandrel is pulled enough to break the mandrel to enlarge the shank of the fastener body to fix the fastener by the enlarged shank portion and a flange of the fastener body. The tool also includes a broken piece collecting assembly (30) for collecting, through a path (9) within the tool, the broken pieces (37) of the mandrels, which are broken by the above pulling operation. The broken piece collecting assembly comprises a container (15) encircling the outlet port of the path (9) and extending to elongate the path (9) for collecting the broken pieces (37) as discharged from the path (9); and a broken piece entangling prevention means disposed in the container (15). The broken piece entangling prevention means comprises an elongated broken piece receiver member (31) extending in the container (15) along the axis of the path (9). The broken piece receiver member (31) is provided with an elongated groove (34) to receive the broken piece (37) outputted from the path (9) in its existing posture.
