    摘要: A packet transmitting method and a packet transmitting apparatus in a wireless LAN capable of improving a maximum number of simultaneous calls without degrading a call quality are provided. A plurality of wireless terminals 2 are connected to a wireless LAN base station 1 through the wireless LAN. Data packets are transmitted from the wireless LAN base station 1 to the respective wireless terminals 2 in a signal form of frame burst packets without an ACK. A series of header information on the respective data packets are transmitted as notification packets in a signal form of multicast packets from the wireless LAN base station 1 to the wireless terminals 2. Data packets are individually transmitted from each of the wireless terminals 2 to the wireless LAN base station 1 by unicast using ACK. Each wireless terminal 2 transmits a retransmission request to the wireless LAN base station 1 requesting to retransmit an unreceived data packet among the frame packets notified by corresponding one of the notification packets. The wireless LAN base station 1 retransmits the packet corresponding to the retransmission request to the wireless terminal 2 that transmits the retransmission request by unicast using ACK.

    摘要: A cathode ray tube (10) of the type having a target (18), an electron gun (26) for emitting a beam of electrons toward the target, deflection means (40, 44) disposed between the target and the electron gun for deflecting the beam in two orthogonal directions, and a scan expansion lens system (46) disposed between the deflection means and the target for amplifying the deflections of the beam in both x- and y-axes directions. The lens system comprises two boxlike electrodes (50, 52) at least partly displaced from each other along the z axis. For higher deflection sensitivities of the scan expansion lens system (46) and the reduction of its axial dimension to a minimum, a pair of tongues (68,70; 68h, 70h) extend from either of the electrodes (50, 52) into the other, or two such pairs of tongues (68,70; 112,114) extend from both electrodes into interdigitating relation to each other. Upon application of prescribed potentials to the two electrodes, a quadrupolar lens field is created in the space between the pair of pairs of tongues for deflection amplification in both directions. On having been deflected vertically, the beam has its deflection amplified by having its traveling direction inverted with respect to the tube axis. The beam that has been deflected horizontally has its deflection magnified without having its traveling direction inverted.

    摘要: A cathode ray tube comprises a series of quadru­polar lenses for focusing a beam of electrons, emitted from a cathode at one end of an evacuated envelope under the control of a control electrode, at a target screen at the other end of the envelope. After having been focused at the target by adjustment of electric potentials on the quadrupolar lenses, the electron beam will defocus upon change in a potential on the control electrode because then the crossover or initial focusing point of the electron beam will be displaced along the central axis of the enve­lope. With a view to ready refocusing of the beam at the target, a refocusing lens is provided between the crossover point and the quadrupolar lenses for providing a convering lens action of radial symmetry about the envelope axis. The beam can be refocused through adjustment of a single potential on the refocusing lens rather than through ad­justment of several different potentials on the quadrupolar lenses.

    摘要: A contact (30) for a connector, which includes two opposed contact elements (30 A, 30 B) for receiving therebetween a male contact (32) of a mating connector. Each the contact element is provided with one or more protusions (31 A, 31B) on an opposed surface for embracing the male contact (32).     摘要: A scan converter storage tube has a storage target comprising at least two collector electrodes (52, 52') on a storage surface of a storage substrate (50). Each collector electrode has a multiplicity of parallel spaced strips (54, 54') which are electrically interconnected and which are arranged alternately with the strips of the other collector electrode, leaving exposed parts of the storage surface (58) through the spacings therebetween. The establishment of a potential difference between the collector electrodes makes it possible to write information on the storage target at a high rate without necessitating an increase in an erase potential difference between the collector electrodes and the storage surface. The dual collector storage target also allows writing with a zero erase potential difference, dispensing with the erase mode preparatory to writing. There are also disclosed herein storage targets having three and four collector electrodes respectively.
