A terminal position assurance (TPA) (30) may be located on the bottom of the connector main body and when engaged, ensures proper positioning of the engaged wire terminal. Terminal position assurance hinge 32 is attached to the lower portion of the female connector housing. A terminal position assurance beam 34 is connected to the hinge 32 allowing the beam to pivot relative to the connector housing. A terminal position assurance lock 36 is positioned to contact a corresponding terminal position assurance catch on the wire terminal 96.

    摘要: An electrical connector includes a generally box-shaped connector housing and a lever. The lever is pivotally connected to the connector housing and is operative to move from a first fixed position to a second fixed position. In the first fixed position, the lever is releasably connected to the connector housing to prevent the lever from moving towards the second fixed position. In the second fixed position, the lever is releasably connected to the connector housing to prevent the lever from moving towards the first fixed position. Upon releasing the lever from the first fixed position, the lever is operative to pivotally move from the first fixed position to the second fixed position. The electrical connector is adapted for matable connection with a workpiece connector.

    摘要: A connector position assurance device having multiple features for assuring a full coupling and locking of a female housing with a male housing in a connector system, such that the female housing and male housing are placed into a fully coupled and locked position when the connector position assurance device is moved from a pre-lock position to a full-lock position. When the connector position assurance device is at a full-lock position, a first member on the connector position assurance penetrates a window formed on the female housing, and at least one ledge extending from the connector position assurance device prevents a flexible member of the female housing from being moved downward, providing assurance that the female and male housings are fully coupled and locked together.
