摘要： An upholstered furniture system having removable and intechangeable spring and sleeper units (32, 34) for mounting on a substantially horizontal surface. The system comprises first and second (22) spaced apart substantially vertical arm members, a back member (26) which is removably attached to the arm members and a front member (20) which is in removable contact with the arm members. A seat support member, which may be one of a spring platform (32) and a sleeper mechanism (34), is removably supported by first and second side support sections (56) affixed to the inner surfaces of the first and second arm members (22). A cover (94) may be secured to the arm, back and front members by hook and loop fastening strips (96).

摘要： An upholstered furniture system for mounting on a horizontal surface is disclosed. The system comprises vertical arm members (22, 24), side support members are affixed to the inner surfaces (21) of the arm members for removably supporting a seat member. Support elements (62) are affixed to the back portions of the inner surfaces of the arm member and a back member (26) is interposed between the arm members. The back member (26) includes an outer back part having outer back part side members (84) supported on the support elements and a horizontal top rail (94) extending between the side members. An inner back part (87) is provided having inner back part side members (90) and a horizontal inner back part top rail (92) between the side members. A hinge (106) connects both top rails to permit rotation of the inner back part about a horizontal axis parallel to the back top rails. The rotation of the inner back part about the horizontal axis brings the inner back part into contact with support elements limiting the rotation of the inner back part.

摘要： An upholstered chair or sofa capable of being quickly and easily assembled and disassembled which includes first and second spaced arm members (22, 24), front (20) and back (26) members interposed between the first and second arm members (22, 24) and a seat member (30) supported by the arm members (22, 24) and the front member (20) without being attached thereto. Attachment means (60, 82) are provided for connecting the first and second arm members (22, 24) to the back member (26), the attachment means (60, 82) serving solely for securing the first and second arm members (22, 24) to the back member (26) without supporting the seat member (30). In addition, in one embodiment of the invention the attachment means (60, 82) also secures the first and second arm members (22, 24) to the front member (20) without supporting the weight of the seat member (30).
