    摘要: There is described apparatus for use in installing a substructure 1 i.e. substructures for supporting offshore wind turbine towers. The apparatus comprises a positioning device i.e. a jack 115 at­tached to a leg 4a, 4b of the substructure. The substructure comprises at least one leg to be mounted to at least one base 114, and the at least one jack supports the leg upon the base, such that at least part of the weight of the sub­structure is supported on the base via the jack. In this way, relative movement be­tween the leg and the base can be reduced, to allow a permanent mounting of the leg to the base by using a curable material such as concrete. A later embodiment relates to a method for installing a substructure comprising a jack coupled to at least one leg, wherein the jack cushions the substructure during landing.
