    摘要: A safety lock for a pivoted door (16) closing an opening in a pressure vessel (10) to prevent the door from being opened when pressure in the vessel is above a selected level. A handle (44) is pivotably supported relative to the opening and movable to a locked position in which the door cannot be opened. A pressure lock housing (50) extends from the pressure containment vessel, the housing having a cylindrical opening therein, the axis of which intersects the plane of pivotation of the handle. A piston member (102) is received in the cylindrical opening (98) and has a portion extending externally of the housing. A tubular member (122) carried by the handle is engaged by the piston member when the handle is in the locked position, and pressure within the containment vessel forces the piston member outwardly to thereby prevent the handle from being moved towards the unlocked position. The piston member is automatically retracted when the pressure in the containment vessel is below a safe level.

    摘要: An improved pipeline caliper pig for providing a record of the deviations of the interior wall of a pipeline (10) including a pig body assembly (12) having a longitudinal axis and support members so that the pig body assembly is supported within a pipeline, the support members impeding the flow of fluid therepast so that the pig body is propelled by fluid flow along the pipeline interior, an integrat or plate (42) carried by the pig body assembly, arms extending from the pig body assembly for responding to deviations in the interior wall of the pipeline and coupling members to transfer the deviations to the integrator plate (42), a plurality of axially positionable shafts affixed at one end to the integrator plate (42), and electrical transducers at the other end of each shaft so that movement of the integrator plate (42) relative to the pig body (12) is transmitted into electrical signals, an orientation detection member and a signal receiver and recorder to record the electrical signals of the transducers and the orientation detection member so that deviations in the interior wall of the pipeline and the orientations of such deviations relative to the vertical are recorded as electrical signals, the recorded signals being recoverable whereby the pipeline operator can be advised of the conditions of the inside wall of a pipeline through which the caliper pig has passed. An alternate embodiment includes the use of three odometer wheels producing electrical signals responsive to the rotation thereof providing indications of curves, bends, dips and rises in the pipeline.

    摘要: Un verrou de sécurité pour une porte pivotante (16) ferme une ouverture dans un récipient sous pression (10) pour empêcher l'ouverture de la porte lorsque la pression dans le récipient dépasse un niveau sélectionné. Une poignée (44) est maintenue de manière pivotante par rapport à l'ouverture et est mobile dans une position verrouillée qui empêche l'ouverture de la porte. Une enceinte de verrou à pression (50) s'étend du récipient sous pression, cette enceinte présentant une ouverture cylindrique dont l'axe intersecte le plan de pivotement de la poignée. Un organe de piston (102) est reçu dans l'ouverture cylindrique (98) et possède une partie s'étendant à l'extérieur de l'enceinte. Un organe tubulaire (122) porté par la poignée s'engage dans l'organe de piston lorsque la poignée se trouve dans la position de verrouillage, et la pression à l'intérieur du récipient provoque le mouvement vers l'extérieur de l'organe de piston de manière à empêcher le déplacement de la poignée vers la position non verrouillée. L'organe de piston se retire automatiquement lorsque la pression dans le récipienttombe en dessous d'un niveau de sécurité.
