    摘要： When a vehicle (28) enters a tollhouse and is detected with a vehicle detector (16), a fixed station (10) transmits a communication link request to a mobile station (30) of the vehicle (28) via an antenna (26) to thereby start transferring toll transfer information between the fixed station (10) and mobile station (30). During a predetermined release timer time after the communication completion, the communication between the mobile station (30) and fixed station (10) is inhibited, and the mobile station (30) can resume communication upon reception of the communication link request from the fixed station (10) after the lapse of the release timer time. The passing time of the vehicle (28) passing a section between the vehicle detector (16) and another vehicle detector (24) is measured at the fixed station (10) to update the release timer time in accordance with the passing times of vehicles.

    摘要： An information processing system includes a data modifying module (102) for modifying input data to the system, a fractal dimension calculating module (103) for determining a fractal dimension of the input data, a main processing decision module (104) and a main processing module (105). By checking the fractal dimension of the data inputted to the main processing module (105), decision is made as to whether or not the main processing is required. If so, the main processing module (105) is activated to perform adjustment of parameters, modification of output or the like on the basis of the fractal dimension. By introducing as an index the fractal dimension of the data inputted to the system, it is possible to condition previously the system so that most appropriate effect can be attained by utilizing the input data.

Generation of a clock pulse having a fixed period is suspended after acceleration of the charged particle beam has been ended and the generation of the clock pulse is resumed when a beam irradiation request is produced on the basis of a state of an object to be irradiated during the suspension state of generation of the clock pulse. An emitter is operated in accordance with the clock pulse generated again.
