    摘要： Detection of a change in physical configuration of a discrete device with respect to an electronic device leads to responsively changing application functionality of the electronic device as a function, at least in part, of information provided by the discrete device. By one approach the detected change can pertain to movement of the discrete device with respect to the electronic device or orientation of a coupling of the discrete device to the electronic device. This information can comprise at least a unique identification code. In such a case these teachings will accommodate using the unique identification code to access a corresponding profile for the discrete device where the profile specifies at least one application to be presently made available using the discrete device.

    摘要： A method, system and apparatus for controlling access to a media server are provided. A browse request is received at a computing device, from a remote computing device to browse a memory structure including content files. Authentication of the remote computing device is initiated. Prior to the remote computing device being authenticated, a response is transmitted to the remote computing device indicative that the memory structure is empty of the content files, regardless of actual content of the memory structure. After the remote computing device is authenticated, a further response is transmitted to the remote computing device indicative of the actual content of the memory structure.

    摘要： A system and method for implementing call handover (HO) is disclosed. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to communicate with a wireless communication network. The UE is configured to transmit a measurement report to at least one of a serving cell and at least one cell of a coordinated multi-point (CoMP) cell set. The UE is configured to listen for an HO command from a serving cell. The HO command identifies a target cell. The UE is configured to detect a radio link failure between the UE and the serving cell, listen for an HO command from a first cell in the CoMP cell set for a first time duration, and, when an HO command is received from the first cell in the CoMP cell set within the first time duration, perform handover to the target cell identified in the HO command.
