Abstract: The invention relates to the use of amines and/or Mannich adducts as detergents and/or dispersants in fuel and lubricant compositions for direction injection spark ignition engines. The invention also relates to fuel and lubricant compositions containing at least one such Mannich adduct, and to a bisaminoalkylated Mannich adduct.
