A video data outputting apparatus, connected to a display apparatus receiving a broadcast signal and transmits video data recorded in an internal recording unit (5) and/or an inserted recording medium, and video data generated based on the received broadcast signal to the display apparatus, play-backs the stored video data, acquires input selection information indicating the input source of the currently displayed video data, and performs control to display information about the broadcast channel corresponding to currently output video data and the video of the broadcast channel on an image area when the video data generated based on the broadcast signal is being output to the display apparatus after the playback is stopped and the display apparatus receives the video data transmitted from the video data outputting apparatus which is later caused to transition to a state where the power consumption of the video data outputting apparatus is reduced.

A magnetic coated carrier suitable for constituting a two-component type developer for use in electrophotography is composed of magnetic coated carrier particles comprising magnetic carrier core particles and a resinous surface coated layer coating the magnetic carrier core particles. The carrier is suitably constituted so as to satisfy the condition of: (a) the magnetic carrier core particles has a resistivity of at least 1x10 10 ohm.cm, and the magnetic coated carrier has a resistivity of at least 1x10 12 ohm.cm, (b) the magnetic coated carrier has a number-average particle size of 1- 100 µm and has such a particle size distribution that particles having particle sizes of at most a half of the number-average particle size occupy an accumulative percentage of at most 20 % by number, (c) the magnetic coated carrier has a shape factor SF-1 of 100 - 130, (d) the magnetic coated carrier has a magnetization at 1 kilo-oersted of 40 - 250 emu/cm 3 , and (e) the resinous surface coating layer comprises a coating resin composition which in turn comprises a straight silicone resin and a coupling agent. The straight silicone resin includes trifunctional silicon and difunctional silicon in an atomic ratio of 100:0 - 40:60.

Thus an image can be formed with the hypochromic toner and the hyperchromic toner of a substantially same hue.

The image pickup apparatus capable of photographing with changing over a moving image and a still image, includes an iris mechanism for changing an amount of light input to an image pickup element by changing an aperture diameter, a filter unit, having a single density or a plurality of densities, for changing the amount of the light input to the image pickup element by its advancing towards and withdrawing from the aperture diameter of the iris mechanism, a unit for driving the iris mechanism and the filter unit independently, and a control unit for setting the filter unit in one of two types of states such as fully covering the aperture diameter of the iris mechanism and fully withdrawing from the aperture diameter in the still image photography.

The present invention provides: a color image forming apparatus that forms an image using a deep toner and a pale toner at least for one color such that the pale toner is used to form an image in a high lightness area and the pale toner and the deep toner are used in combination to form the image in a half tone area; a toner kit having a deep toner and a pale toner which are separated from each other; a deep toner and a deep toner and a pale toner to be used in the toner kit and the color image forming apparatus; and a method for forming an image using the color image forming apparatus, the toner kit, and the deep toner and the pale toner. According to the present invention, a high quality image can be formed while inhibiting graininess and roughness over a broad image area.

An electrophotographic photosensitive member exhibiting good potential characteristic and image forming characteristic fee from difficulties, such as lower image density or black spots and fog, over wide temperature and humidity environment condition, is provided by inserting a specific intermediate layer between a support and a photosensitive layer. The intermediate layer comprises an organic acid aluminum salt compound, preferably formed by heating an aqueous dispersion sol formed by reaction of an organic aluminum compound or a hydrolyzate thereof with an organic acid in an aqueous medium.
