The present invention relates to a polyester sewing thread usable for a fabric for an airbag and a cushion for an airbag. In particular, the present invention relates to a polyester sewing thread for an airbag obtained by doubling and twisting a specific polyester yarn including a plurality of polyester filaments, and bonding the polyester yarn in the manner of in-bonding, out-bonding, or in-and-out bonding, and a preparation method thereof. According to the present invention, the polyester fiber having high strength, middle elongation, and dry heat shrinkage may be used to implement excellent physical properties similar to those of a sewing thread using existing polyamide fiber (Nylon 66), and to implement sufficient performance as a sewing thread for an airbag when conducting a static test after the cushion for an airbag is actually manufactured. Therefore, the present invention provides a polyester sewing thread for an airbag having excellent performance and high competitive price to be used as a substitute for existing polyamide (Nylon 66) sewing thread for an airbag.

The present invention relates to a fabric for an airbag including a polyester fiber, and particularly to a polyester fabric for an airbag of which toughness is 3.5 to 6.0 kJ/ m 3 and tearing strength measured according to the ASTM D 2261 TONGUE method is 18 to 30 kgf, wherein the fabric includes polyester fiber of which toughness is 70 to 95 J/m 3 , a method of preparing the same, and an airbag for a car including the same. The fabric for an airbag of the present invention is superior in energy absorbing ability and shape stability when the airbag expands, and also provides superior packing properties and air-tightness and can protect occupants safely by minimizing the impact applied to the occupants, by optimizing toughness and tearing strength of the fabric by using the polyester fiber having low modulus, high strength, and high elongation.

The present invention relates to a spunbonded filament nonwoven fabric and a method of preparing the same, and particularly to a multilayered spunbonded filament nonwoven fabric of which the fineness of the filaments decreases from an air inlet part toward an air outlet part, and a method of preparing the same. The spunbonded nonwoven fabric of the present invention can be used as an air filter for power generation equipment for a gas turbine, because it can reduce a pressure loss, promote filter efficiency, and extend the lifetime for use by using fiber layers having different denier.

The present invention relates to a polyester fiber that can be applied to a fabric for airbag, particularly, to a polyester fiber having an elongation of 0.4% or less at the stress of 1.0 g/d, an enlongation of 4.0% or less at the stress of 4.0 g/d, and an enlongation of 7.0% or less at the stress of 7.0 g/d, and an initial modulus of 105 to 130 g/d; a method of preparing the same; and a fabric for airbag prepared therefrom. Since the polyester fiber of the present invention decreases stiffness remarkably and secures superior mechanical properties by having a high strength, high elongation, and high shrinkage, it is possible to provide superior packing property, dimensional stability, and air-tight effect, and to protect passengers safely by minimizing the impact applied to the passengers, when it is used for the fabric for airbag.
