    摘要： A disposable cup lid is provided for placement onto a drinking cup having a substantially circular cup rim which lies substantially in a single plane. There is an arcuate portion of the top surface which extends radially outwardly to the downwardly depending apron, and which has a radially directed axis of symmetry. A depressed "U"-shaped hinge (26) is formed in the top surface in the region thereof occupied by the arcuate portion, and the "U"-shaped hinge is oriented so as to be perpendicular to the axis of symmetry. A fault line (28) is stamped into the top surface in the arcuate portion, in a location opposed to the "U"-shaped hinge. The fault line is spaced radially inwardly from the downwardly directed apron by a distance which is at least equal to the width of the top wall of the cup rim engaging recess; and the fault line defines an outer extremity of a tear-back flap (30) which, when torn back, will fold backwardly at the "U"-shaped hinge and will thereby define a drink-through opening in the top surface. Also, an upwardly extending lifting stub (32) is formed in the arcuate portion of the top surface in a location thereof between the first fault line and the "U" shaped hinge. The dimensions of the lifting stub are such that it may be easily grasped between the thumb and a finger of an adult hand, so that the tear-back flap may be torn back by a grasping and lifting action of the lifting stub, and so as to provide access to the drink-through opening.

    摘要： A cup lid (10) comprising a base cup lid (12) having a drink-through opening (28) formed therein in a planar top portion (40) thereof, and a rotatable stopper (14) associated therewith so as to selectively provide a sealed and unsealed relationship between said drink-through opening (28) and an opening (30) of said rotatable stopper (14). The base cup lid (12) and the rotatable stopper (14) are mated to one another by the use of convoluted portions (24,26,16,18,20,22) on each part which form a sliding tongue and groove relationship. The rotatable stopper (14) has an actuator (34) that can be used to move the rotatable stopper (14) from a closed position wherein the opening (30) in the rotatable stopper (14) and the drink-through opening (28) in the base cup lid (12) are not aligned, to an open position where the opening (30) in the rotatable stopper (14) and the drink-through opening (28) in the base cup lid (12), are aligned. An easily operated resealable cup lid (10) is provided.

    摘要： A disposable dome lid is provided for use with a drinking cup such beverage cups used for the sale of hot and cold beverages. The top surface of a dome lid is elevated above the top surface of the beverage cup rim, when in place. The dome lid is configured so as to make a plug fit onto the beverage cup by the beverage cup rim extending into a downwardly facing recess formed for that purpose. A side surface depends downwardly from a substantially planar top surface of the lid, and is inset from the cup rim engaging recess. A portion of the side surface is displaced outwardly towards the outer periphery of the dome lid, and thus provides a surface for engaging the lower lip of the mouth of the user. A tear-back flap is defined by fault lines stamped into the top surface and a "U"-shaped hinge formed in the top surface. When the tear-back flap is folded back, a locking stub extends downwardly into a locking recess formed in the top surface of the lid, and a drink-through opening is thereby created in the top of the dome lid near the outer periphery thereof, for easy drinking access to the beverage in the cup.
