摘要: A security transfer unit includes a hollow box-structure (1) that has open ends (10 and 11) on opposite sides of a security barrier (2) and is supported from side-frames (4 and 5) with a clearance underneath. A rolling shutter (12) encircles the box-structure (1) to block access at either end (10 and 11) to the chamber (3) through openings (7 and 9) in the unit casing (6). The shutter (12) is driven to bring an aperture (19) therein into register with the openings (7 and 9) in turn so that access to the chamber (3) can be gained through only one of them at a time. Drive is in one direction only and is interrupted with the shutter (12) blocking both openings (7 and 9) when the aperture (19) is located in register with an aperture (22) in the box-structure (1), so as to enable viewing of the contents of the transfer chamber (3) through a window (23) above.

摘要: A lock includes a solenoid-operated striker unit (4) for capturing pin-bolts (9) of the shot bolt assembly (3) of a key-operable locking mechanism (1) of a hinged door (2). The pin-bolts (9) are captured within a keep channel-member (13) that slides up and down within a fixed channel-member (10) between an upper, release position in which slots (14) in the member (13) are in register with slots (11) in the member (10) and a lower, locking position in which the slots (14) are out of register with the slots (11). The member (10) is set perpendicularly to the general plane of swing of the door (2), the pin-bolts (9) being free to move into and out of the channel-member (13) through the aligned slots (11,14) when that member has been lifted into its release position by the solenoid (17) or a manually-actuable lever (27). A catch (19) latches the member (13) in this position untii released, allowing the member (13) to move to its locking position under spring action, in response to entry of the uppermost pin-bolt (9) into the striker unit (4). According to a modification a catch (31) is released by a forwardly-offset pin-bolt (32), and a keep member (30) slides up and down behind an apertured bar (29) rather than within a channel member. Also according to an alternative, a solenoid-lifted cylindrical keep-member (41) rotates about its longitudinal axis in admitting pin-bolts (44) to, and releasing them from, axially-directed slots (46) that capture the pin-bolts (44) when the member (41) moves downwardly under resilient bias.

摘要: security transfer unit (1) has a cashier's door (4) and a customer's door (5) for providing access to an intermediate transfer chamber (3) from opposite sides of a security screen (2). Only one of the doors (4 and 5) can be opened to give access to the chamber (3), at a time, opening of the cashier's door (4) being normally obstructed by a pivotted bar (11) that is swung down (broken outline) across the door (4) to engage a bracket (13). Swinging of the bar (11) up to remove the obstruction turns a shaft (12) to block, via a cam (15), withdrawal of catch-bolts (22 and 23) which hold the customer's door (5) blosed. The cam (15) in this condition also abuts a block (20) mounted on the rear edge of the door (5) such that if the customer's door (5) is open as the bar (11) is swung up it will be forced closed before the cashier's door (4) can be opened.
