摘要:
A catalyst system useful for the polymerization of propylene is disclosed. The catalyst system may include a Ziegler-Natta catalyst, a co-catalyst, and at least one external electron donor comprising a dialkoxydialkylsilane with sterically demanding alkyl substituents.

A catalyst system for the polymerization of olefins may include a first solid catalytic component and a second solid catalytic component. The first solid catalytic component may include: a spherical MgCl 2 -xROH support; a group 4-8 transition metal; and a diether internal electron donor. The second solid catalytic component may include: a spherical MgCl 2 -xROH support; a group 4-8 transition metal; and a diether internal electron donor. The first solid catalytic component produces a propylene homopolymer having a Xylene Solubles (XS) value of greater than 2 wt%; and the second solid catalytic component produces a propylene homopolymer having a XS value of less than 2 wt%. The second catalytic component may act as an external electron donor during use, and embodiments herein do not require use of any additional external electron donors to control polymerization and reliably vary the properties of the resulting polymer.

An efficient and economical process to recover ligands from metallocene complexes, where the free ligand recovered may be recycled to produce additional metallocene and metallocene complexes. The process comprises contacting a metallocene complex comprising a ligand with a protic composition under reaction conditions to decompose the metallocene complex and form a reaction product comprising free ligand and inorganic decomposition products; and recovering the free ligand from the reaction product

A high impact strength random block copolymer including (a) about 65- 97 wt.% of a crystalline propylene/ethylene copolymer A containing from about 0.5 wt.% to about 6 wt.% derived from ethylene and from about 94 wt.% to about 99.5 wt.% derived from propylene, and (b) about 3 - 35 wt.% of a propylene/ethylene copolymer B containing from about 8 wt.% to about 40 wt % derived from ethylene and from about 60 wt% to about 92 wt.% derived from propylene. The crystalline to amorphous ratio Lc/La of the random block copolymer ranges from about 1.00 to about 2.25. The random block copolymer is characterized by both high toughness and low haze.
