Abstract:
A processing target mold is usable to form, by molding, a processing target to be shaved by a shaving device. The processing target includes a hold portion held by the shaving device, a target portion to be formed into a post-shaving item, and a coupling portion coupling the hold portion with the target portion. A main body of the processing target mold includes a bottom member, an outer frame member extending upward from the bottom member, and a protruding member extending upward from a portion of the bottom member that is enclosed by the outer frame member as seen in a plan view. The main body is provided with an injection space enclosed by the bottom member and the outer frame member. A material is injected into the injection space. The injection space includes a hold space, a target space and a coupling space in which the hold portion, the target portion and the coupling portion are respectively formed by molding.
Abstract:
Dental devices and systems and methods for making the same are provided. In at least one embodiment, a method for fabricating an arch-shaped device for coupling to a patient's mouth is provided. The method can include disposing each of a plurality of teeth into respective teeth receptors of an inlay device, positioning the inlay device in a recess of a lower portion of a mold device, and coupling the lower portion to an upper portion of the mold device to sandwich the inlay device therebetween. The method can also include injecting a base compound into an injection hole of the mold device, and processing the base compound to integrate the base compound with the plurality of teeth.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an improved root canal filling point/cone that can be manufactured precisely to result in better obturation with less micro-leakage. One aspect of the present invention is directed to a molded root canal filling point/cone. Another aspect of the present invention is directed to a thermo-pressure molding process for manufacturing root canal filing appliances (e.g., Gutta Percha points). Another aspect of the present invention is directed to the structure of the mold for undertaking thermo-injection molding. A further aspect of the present invention is directed to a production line comprising the thermo-injection process.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing a medical implant from a titanium alloy by precision casting the titanium alloy in a mold corresponding to the implant to be produced. The invention uses a ß-titanium alloy, hot-isostatic pressing, solution annealing and subsequent quenching. The invention also relates to a corresponding medical implant that is made from a titanium alloy in the precision casting method. The titanium alloy is a ß-titanium alloy and has a mean grain-size of at least 0.3 mm. The invention enables an efficient production of objects from ß-titanium alloys in the precision casting process. The invention thus creates the possibility of combining the advantageous properties of ß-titanium alloys, particularly their excellent mechanical properties, with the advantages of a production of objects in the precision casting process. Even implants having complex shapes, such as femoral parts (1) of hip joint prostheses, which could not or could not be sensibly produced by conventional forging methods, can now be produced from a ß-titanium alloy thanks to the invention.
Abstract:
The invention provides a dental device comprising thermoplastic polyamide having a Charpy notched impact strength of at least 3.5 ft-lb/in2. Preferably the polyamide comprises at least 10 percent by weight of micro-crystals having a largest dimension less than 750 nanometers. Preferably the device is a Denture base, denture, partial denture, clasp, splint, or night guard. Preferably the polyamide has an opacity of less than 30 percent. The invention provides a metal cartridge container containing particles of thermoplastic polyamide effectively free of pigment. The metal cartridge is used in a method of making a partial dental prosthesis having a substantially transparent clasp. First a substantially transparent thermoplastic is injected into a first portion of a mold cavity of a mold containing an artificial tooth, and then a substantially opaque thermoplastic injecting into a second portion of the mold cavity. The removable partial dental prosthesis formed includes an artificial tooth supported by a base integrally connected to a clasp, wherein the base includes pigment and is substantially opaque, and the clasp is substantially transparent and effectively without pigment.

Dental devices and systems and methods for making the same are provided. In at least one embodiment, a method for fabricating an arch-shaped device (100) for coupling to a patient's mouth is provided. The method can include disposing each of a plurality of teeth (120) into respective teeth receptors of an inlay device, positioning the inlay device in a recess of a lower portion of a mold device, and coupling the lower portion to an upper portion of the mold device to sandwich the inlay device therebetween. The method can also include injecting a base compound into an injection hole of the mold device, and processing the base compound to integrate the base compound with the plurality of teeth.
