Abstract:
A method for waste plastics disposal which comprises immersing inorganic materials-containing waste plastics which contains metals, fibers, wood, glass, halogenated hydrocarbons and the like originating from waste automobiles, electrical home appliances and the like in an organic medium which has a boiling point higher than 400 °C and an aromatic index of 0.2 or more, and has been heated to 200-400 °C or that which has a boiling point of 300 to 400 °C and an aromatic index of 0.2 or more, and has been heated to a temperature of from 200 °C to the boiling point thereof, for example, a coal tar heavy oil, a pitch, a coal liquid, a bottom residue in an ethylene plant and an FCC oil which have been heated as described above. The method allows efficient separation and recovery of a mixture of plastics and inorganic materials, resulting in material recycle.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A method for recovering elastomeric material such as rubber from tires comprising the steps of soaking the tires in a mixture of an oil and a volatile solvent to soften the rubber, subjecting the softened tires to shear conditions in a separator having at least two pairs of counter rotating rollers mounted one above the other. The recovered rubber can be carbonized in a microwave chamber to produce carbon and oil.
Abstract:
An apparatus for separating glass segments and an intermediated film from a crushed laminated glass pane. The apparatus comprises dipping means for dipping the crushed laminated glass transported by means of a mesh conveyor in aqueous solution, stripping means for stripping and collecting the glass segment from the intermediate film while the crushed laminated glass pane transferred from the dipping means being transported by means of a mesh conveyor in the aqueous solution, and rinsing / drying means for rinsing with water and drying the intermediate film transferred from the stripping means while the intermediate film being transported by means of a mesh conveyor.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for recycling PET flakes of disintegrated PET bottles. The flakes are subject to a washing treatment. The flakes are treated in at least one washing device at a temperature higher than 70 °C and for at least 20 minutes by means of a cleaning solution containing soda lye and are also and simultaneously treated mechanically and hydraulically.

Abstract:
A system (10) for releasing and separating labels (16) from containers has a release (30) for mixing the containers with introduced fluids and for providing the containers with a sufficient retention time and agitation to clean the containers and release the labels (16) therefrom. The system (10) further includes a separator (70) for receiving the containers and labels from said releaser (30). The separator (70) has an inclined base (76) with a plurality of counter-rotating rollers (72) adapted to urge the labels and introduced fluid away from said containers. The rollers (72) are spaced to encourage some of the containers to become wedged therebetween to enhance performance of the separator (70).
