The sealing device usable at a working pressure of 0 to2 MPa, and not damaged even if the pressure of high-pressure fuel of 5 MPa or higher is applied thereto, wherein high pressure fuel on the high pressure side H is sealed by a first seal part 2, oil from a cam side on a low pressure side L is sealed by a second seal part 3, and the fuel slightly leaked due to failure of scraping at the first seal part is sealed by the second seal part to form a dual seal structure, and a resin ring 21 coming into slidable sealing contact with a shaft 10 is used in the first seal part 2, whereby abnormal abrasion does not occur even when fuel having less lubricity is used, and the durability of the seal is increased.
Abstract:
The pump has at least one pump element (10) that includes a pump piston (12) which is driven in a reciprocating motion, is guided so as to be displaceable in a cylinder bore (18) of a housing part (20) of the pump, and delimits a pump working chamber (22) in said cylinder bore. The end of the pump piston (12) facing away from the pump working chamber (22) protrudes from the cylinder bore (18). The housing part (20) has an at least approximately cylindrical section (50) which surrounds the end portion of the cylinder bore (18) facing away from the pump working chamber (22). A sealing ring (52), the inner circumference of which rests against the pump piston (12) by way of a sealing lip (54), is arranged on the end portion of the pump piston (12) protruding from the cylinder bore (18). The sealing ring (52) is placed in a receptacle (58, 60) of the pump housing part (20), said receptacle surrounding the end portion of the pump piston (12) protruding from the cylinder bore (18); the sealing ring (52) and the pump housing part (20) delimit a chamber (74; 76) in the direction of the cylinder bore (18), said chamber being connected to a fuel supply line (26). The fuel supply line (26) runs through the chamber (74; 76) such that fuel that leaks into the chamber (74; 76) is discharged from the chamber (74; 76) by the stream in the fuel supply line (26).
Abstract:
A high pressure pump is provided to be used in a fuel feeding system for a vehicle engine and receive a fuel primarily pressurized by a low pressure pump, and secondarily compresses the fuel to increase the pressure of the fuel for supplying the fuel to a fuel injector. The high pressure pump includes a pump body and a camshaft that is rotatably installed in the pump body to be rotated using torque transmitted from an exterior of the pump body. Additionally, a roller bearing rotatably supports the camshaft in the pump body and an inlet port is disposed on the pump body to introduce a primarily pressurized fluid into the pump body. An orifice is configured to supply the fluid to the roller bearing while reducing a pressure of the fluid introduced via the inlet port.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a high pressure pump for a common rail pump system and to a common rail pump system. A high pressure pump (2) for a common rail pump system comprises a pump body (4) having a cylinder (6) with a piston bore (8) and a piston (10) reciprocally driven in the piston bore (8) by an eccentric to pressurize fuel in the cylinder (6). The piston (10) comprises an inner end (12) located in the piston bore (8) and an outer end (14) outside the piston bore (8). A bellow (20) having a first opening (22) and a second opening (24) is arranged between the piston (10) and the pump body (4), wherein the piston (10) extends through the first opening (22) and the second opening (24), wherein the bellow (20) is connected to the pump body (40) such that the first opening (22) is sealed on the pump body (4, 50) and wherein the bellow (20) is connected to the outer end (14) of the piston (10) such that the second opening (24) is sealed on the piston (10). This prevents mixing of engine oil and fuel, when the pump is directly attached to an engine. The bellow may be connected to a drainage line over a one-way valve.
