Abstract:
This invention can obtain an output image having high visibility for a user without increasing the workload on the part of the user even when designated length and actual length do not match. In step S101, an effective image region for an image is designated. In step S105, whether a direction of the image is visually an upper or lower direction is detected. In step S110, a header of a source document region in the image is detected. When the direction of the image is the upper direction, the effective image region is output as an output image with reference to the header of the source document region. When the direction of the image is the lower direction, the image is rotated through 180°, and the effective image region is output as an output image with reference to the header of the source document region.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a reading unit, an image forming unit, and a controller. The reading unit is configured to acquire image data by reading an image on a first sheet. The image forming unit is configure to form an image from the image data on a second sheet using a first color material and a second color material. The controller is configured to perform text recognition on the image data, cause the image forming unit to form text from the image data on the second sheet using the second color material, and cause the image forming unit to form portions of the image data other than the text on the second sheet using the first color material.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus includes a request-frequency calculating unit, an acceptable-frequency calculating unit, and acceptance/rejection determining unit. The request-frequency calculating unit calculates a request frequency corresponding to a processing request relating to image formation with reference to any one of multiple pieces of frequency information, which is broken down by process category of an image forming process and stored in a predetermined storage unit, selectively. The acceptable-frequency calculating unit calculates an acceptable frequency corresponding to the processing request from acceptable-processing-amount information stored in a predetermined storage unit. The acceptance/rejection determining unit determines whether or not to accept the processing request by comparing the request frequency with the acceptable frequency.
Abstract:
A printing controlling terminal apparatus, an image forming apparatus, and a printing controlling method thereof are provided. The printing controlling terminal apparatus (100) includes a user interface (180) that receives a command to print regarding a document, a determiner (190) that determines if the document intended by the command to print is printed in color, a print data generator (110) that generates print data regarding the document according to a result of the determining, and a communicator (130) that transmits the generated print data to an image forming apparatus. The determiner divides each page of the document into a plurality of blocks, extracts color information from each of the plurality of blocks by applying weighted values to color values of the plurality of divided blocks, and determines whether to print the document in color based on the color information.
Abstract:
A print tone measuring method includes a reference paper image pickup step for reading an image of reference paper to obtain first image data, a designated control point setting step for setting designated control points, a first reference point setting step for setting a pair of first reference points for specifying image positions, a print reading step for reading an image of an actual print to obtain second image data, a second reference point setting step for setting a pair of second reference points corresponding to the first reference points, a calculating step for calculating positions of corresponding control points corresponding to the designated control points from the first reference points and the second reference points, an extracting step for extracting image data adjacent each of the designated control points and image data adjacent each of the corresponding control points, and a correcting step for correcting the position of each corresponding control point in the second image data by comparing the image data adjacent each designated control point and the image data adjacent each corresponding control point.
Abstract:
A printing device includes a receiving means receiving image data, a printing means transferring printing agent onto a sheet so as to form an image according to the image data received, a printing ratio determining means determining, based upon the image data, a printing ratio that is a ratio of an area to be filled with the printing agent on the sheet to a whole area of the sheet, a first determining means determining whether the printing ratio determined is equal to or more than a first predetermined value that is a printing ratio at less than which the sheet is classified into a recyclable sheet when the printing agent is transferred onto the sheet, and a control means controlling the printing means to transfer the printing agent onto the sheet depending on the determination by the first determining means.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a data processor (4), a first calculating unit (7), a second calculating unit (7), an updating unit (7), and an instructing unit (7). The first calculating unit (7) calculates estimated developer consumption necessary to form an image. The second calculating unit (7) calculates developer consumption corresponding to a sum of density values of image pixels. The updating unit (7) calculates remaining developer. The instructing unit (7) issues an instruction to the data processor (4) to reduce developer to be consumed when the estimated developer consumption exceeds the remaining developer. The data processor (4) converts scanned image data into print image data in response to the instruction such that the image is to be formed with the remaining developer.
Abstract:
An information processing device (2) includes a data receiving device (4), an output processing device (10), a print processing device (20), a specifying device (6), and a process controller (8). The information processing device (2) is to be connected with a portable device (22). The data receiving device (4) receives data. The output processing device (10) is capable of executing an output process of outputting the received data to the portable device (22). The print processing device (20) is capable of executing a print process of printing the received data. The specifying device (6) specifies the type of the received data. The process controller (8) controls the output processing device (10) and the print processing device (20). Either the output process or the print process is executed in accordance with the type of the received data specified by the specifying device (6).
