摘要: The invention relates to a method for testing at least one nozzle of a multi-jet print head of an inkjet printer comprising a plurality of nozzles (4), at least one 1 st and one 2 nd deviation electrode (14a, 14b) for each jet, method in which:
- at least one jet is formed using said nozzle (9), at a drop formation frequency,
- an estimate is made of:
* a cutoff frequency (Fc) of at least this jet, by variation of the jet formation frequency, at a constant jet velocity,
* or, at constant formation frequency of the drops from at least this jet, by variation of the jet velocity, the velocity at which the cutoff frequency (Fc) is equal to said formation frequency;

摘要: An inkjet printing system having a plurality of inkjets, wherein the inkjets (10, 13) are disposed in a row and directed toward a media (7), wherein the printhead includes a drop generator (9) having an orifice plate (51), wherein the orifice plate has nozzles (30, 33) with a first and second group forming an inkjet, wherein the first group is in interleaved patterns with the second group, and the geometry of the first group is different from the second group. 摘要: A drop generator for use in an ink jet printer is capable of stimulating long ink jet arrays at high operating frequencies. The drop generator comprises a substantially uniform cross section for a central portion and two end sections with different cross sections. The end sections have features to adjust a resonant frequency of the end sections to match that of the central portion. In particular, these features comprise cuts on a top of the drop generator. The drop generator utilizes multi-lobed radial bending modes for vibration of an array of orifices, and the vibrational modes are driven by at least two rows of transducers which extend substantially the length of the drop generator. The transducers are placed consistent with a lobe structure of an operational radial bending mode.
