Provided is a printing device for which configuration is simplified and with which the ink ribbon can be appropriately fed in both directions between a supply roll and a take-up roll on which the ink ribbon is wound. The printing device (1) is provided with: a supply roll (4), a take-up roll (5), and a power transmission mechanism (31) for transmitting motive power from a drive source (30) to the supply roll (4) and the take-up roll (5). If the direction in which the take-up roll (5) winds the ink ribbon (3) is called the ribbon winding direction and the direction in which the supply roll (4) winds the ink ribbon (3) is called the ribbon rewinding direction, the power transmission mechanism (31) is provided with: a one-way clutch for transmitting the driving force of the drive source (30) to the take-up roll (5) in the ribbon rewinding direction; and a one-way clutch for transmitting the driving force of the drive source (30) to the supply roll (4) in the ribbon winding direction.
