摘要: Aspects of the disclosure are directed to apparatuses, systems and methods for radar processing. An apparatus may include receiver circuitry (124) to receive and sample radar signals reflected from a target, and processing circuitry (130) to carry out the following steps: representations of the reflections are transformed into the time-frequency domain where they are oversampled; the oversampled representations of the reflections are inversely transformed to provide resampled reflections; and positional characteristics of the target may then be ascertained by constructing a range response characterizing the target based on the resampled reflections.

摘要: A method of estimating an angle of arrival of a radar signal reflected on a human target includes: receiving the reflected radar signal with first and second antennas of a millimeter-wave radar; transforming the reflected radar signal received to generate first and second range spectrum, respectively; generating a first and second range-Doppler maps based on the first and second range spectrum, respectively; determining or estimating a Doppler velocity based on the first range-Doppler map or the second range-Doppler map; compensating the first and second range-Doppler maps by selecting a peak in the first or second range-Doppler maps based on the determined Doppler velocity; identifying an index of the first macro-compensated range-Doppler map corresponding to an identified target; estimating a phase difference based on the first and second macro-compensated range-Doppler maps and the identified index; and estimating the angle of arrival based on the phase difference.

摘要: An embodiment method includes identifying a set of targets within a field of view of a millimeter-wave radar sensor based on radar data received by the millimeter-wave radar sensor; capturing radar data corresponding to the set of targets across a macro-Doppler frame; performing macro-Doppler processing on the macro-Doppler frame and determining whether a macro-Doppler signal is present in the macro-Doppler frame based on the macro-Doppler processing; capturing radar data corresponding to the set of targets across a micro-Doppler frame, wherein the micro-Doppler frame has a duration superior or equal to a duration of a first plurality of macro-Doppler frames; performing micro-Doppler processing on the micro-Doppler frame and determining whether a micro-Doppler signal is present in the micro-Doppler frame based on the micro-Doppler processing; and activating at least one range bin of a plurality of range bins in response to a determination that at least one of the macro-Doppler signal or the micro-Doppler signal is present.
