Dadurch ist es möglich, die Schwingungen zu unterbrechen. An dem zweiten Steuergitter G₂ der Mehrgitterröhre T r erfolgt innerhalb des am anderen Steuergitter G₁ eingestellten Impulses die Amplitudenmodulation der Hochfrequenzspannung.
