摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain high-speed light responsiveness, high image quality and high printing resistance by providing a photosensitive layer contg. a specific polycarbonate resin and butadiene deriv. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer contg. the polycarbonate resin having the repeating constitutional unit expressed by formula I and the butadiene deriv. expressed by formula II is provided. In the formula II, R1 to R4 respectively independently denote a lower alkyl group; R5, R6 respectively independently denote an aryl group which may have a substitutent. The mixing state of the charge transfer material in a charge transfer layer and the polycarbonate resin of a binder is, therefore, uniform and the environmental resistance of images improves when this phtosensitive body is printed by using a high-speed printer for normal development system or reversal development system images. The high-speed light responsiveness, high image quality and high printing resistance are obtd. in this way.

摘要: PURPOSE:To enhance adhesion of a photosensitive body film and stability of image quality against change of temperature and humidity by using a specified resin for the binder of an electric charge generating layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body is provided with the charge generating layer (A) and a charge transfer layer on a conductive substrate. The layer A contains as the binder a resin (B) having repeating units each represented by the formula as shown on the right. It is preferred to use a resin, such as polyvinyl formal, having hydroxyl groups reacting with the methylol groups of the resin B for the layer A in combination with the resin B. The layer A can be formed by coating with a coating solution containing the resin B, an organic pigment, such as phthalocyanine type pigments, and additives, and it is preferred to form an undercoat layer made of polyamide.

摘要: PURPOSE:To improve the surface smoothness of a magnetic layer and the wear resistance of the titled medium by providing the protective layer of a copolymer having a specified composition on a magnetic layer. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic paint contg. magnetic powder is coated on a substrate and magnetic field orientation is applied to form the magnetic layer. The protective layer formed with a copolymer consisting essentially of perhaloolefin, cycloalkyl vinyl ether, alkyl vinyl ether, and hydroxyalkyl vinyl ether is provided on the magnetic layer. Consequently, the surface smoothness of the magnetic layer and the wear resistance of the magnetic recording medium are improved.

摘要: PURPOSE:To improve an adhesive property and the image quality stability with a change in temp. and humidity by incorporating a resin binder consisting of a specific constituting unit into a charge generating layer. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive body has an under coating layer of a polyamide resin and melamine resin having heterocycles, the charge generating layer having an org. pigment which generates an electric charge and a charge transfer layer contg. a charge transfer agent on a conductive base body. The charge generating layer contains the resin binder consisting of the constituting unit expressed by formula I and the resin binder consisting of the constituting unit expressed by formula II therein. The number average mol. wt. of the resin binder consisting of the constituting unit expressed by the formula I is preferably inh a 3000 to 200000 range and the number average mol. wt. of the resin binder consisting of the constituting unit expressed by the formula II is preferably in a 5000 to 100000 range. The photosensitive body has the excellent adhesive property, the stable electrophotographic characteristics in a continuous printing test and the excellent image quality stability with a change in temp. and humidity in this way.

CONSTITUTION:The title electrophotographic sensitive body is constituted of a charge generating layer contg. a charge-generating org. pigment and a charge transfer layer contg. a charge transfer material on an electroconductive substrate. The charge generating layer contains a resin binder consisting essentially of a resin expressed by the formula I. In the formula, n is a positive integer. It is desirable that a resin contg. isocyanate groups which react with OH groups of the resin expressed by the formula I is contained in the charge generating layer. It is also desirable that a substratum is provided to between the electroconductive substrate and the charge generating layer. Thus, an electrophotographic sensitive body having high adhesion and superior stability of picture quality against changes of temp. and humidity, is obtd.

摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain a superior electrophotographic sensitive body causing no defect in character printing at the time of reversal development and not rising in residual potential at the time of operation under low temperature environmental conditions by using for an undercoat a film obtained by hardening a composition containing an ionizable low molecular weight compound, a polyamide resin, and a thermosetting resin. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is formed by laminating the undercoat and a photosensitive layer containing an electric charge generating material and a charge transfer material on a conductive carrier made of a paper sheet or plastic film subjected to a conductivity enhancing treatment, and the undercoat is the film obtained by hardening a composition containing an ionizable low molecular weight compound such as tetracyanoethylene, a polyamide resin such as aliphatic polyamide resins, and a thermosetting resin such as a melamine resin, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body to be superior and to prevent defects in character printing at the time of reversal development (occurrence of black characters), and rising of residual potential at the time of operations under low temperature environmental conditions.

摘要: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled medium having excellent electromagnetic characteristics and wear resistance by incorporating a polymer obtd. by bringing a prepolymer having a hydroxyl group and isocyanate ethyl methacrylate into the titled binder. CONSTITUTION:This binder curable by radiation for the magnetic recording medium contains the polymer obtd. by bringing the prepolymer having the hydroxyl group and the isocyanate ethyl methacrylate. This binder is adequately used for the magnetic layer of the magnetic recording medium contg. the binder and magnetic powder, for example, magnetic tape and magnetic disk. Any prepolymer having the hydroxyl group is usable and a copolymer contg. a vinyl chloride or vinyl alcohol as a constituting unit is more preferable. for example, a vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate/vinyl alcohol copolymer and vinyl chloride/vinyl alcohol copolymer are used as such prepolymer.
